July 27, 201411 yr Here's the first goal from Lewandowski for Bayern. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csBeYR1Liaw#t=14 And this is his most recent goal for Bayern; what a goal! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfA0slJamjI Wish we could have got this guy, smart and deadly striker.
July 27, 201411 yr And despite the loss Wenger said his side's four day trip to the Big Apple was beneficial.'It was a great training exercise, no one is injured and that's the important thing, said Wenger.'It's been a good trip, we don't want to go home. They were too fit for us at this stage of our pre-season so it's fortunate no one got injured.' Arsenal FC - Where a successful trip is one where you lose but at least no-one gets injured.
July 27, 201411 yr Author When I hear the word Premiership, Shearer is the first player I think of. The guy was brilliant, loved scoring goals, shame he never won more trophies, can only recall him winning the league with Blackburn? Plus two FA Cup Final defeats in a row with Newcastle.
July 27, 201411 yr Sky Sports Football ?@SkyFootball Joe Allen says he is unfazed by comparisons to Xavi as he looks to make his mark at Liverpool this season. Which mentalists have been saying that
July 27, 201411 yr Which mentalists have been saying that Must have been a typo - I'm pretty sure they meant to say 'the Welsh Tom Cleverley'...
July 27, 201411 yr Remy's move to Liverfool called off after failing his medical. Haha! Probably got caught up in the "we're the biggest club in England" spiel; maybe he read Joe cole's comments and decided against the move.
July 27, 201411 yr Remy's move to Liverfool called off after failing his medical. Haha! maybe he couldn't stop laughing when they told him he'd be joining the biggest club in England
July 27, 201411 yr Wonder whats gone wrong, will most likely stay at QPR now which is good for the, I think he came to his senses at the last minute and decided to stay in London after all. Even if it is with QPR
July 27, 201411 yr I never hated him and never will, he was my favourite player when he was here I was on another Chelsea forum at the time and they never took it well.
July 27, 201411 yr Joe Allen is now being compared to Xavi? My God...the Scousers have gone full retard.
July 27, 201411 yr What do expect from them? They think they're the best thing lince sliced bread. I'm waiting for them to be brought back to earth with him being a bigger flop than Torres has been for us.
July 27, 201411 yr To be honest kind of feel sorry for Cole then, he got a lot of hate for that Liverpool interview. He did quite well out of us all the same. 26 appearances and a whole 3 goals, in return for about £90k a week, in something close to 3 years, although some of it was on loan, and we still paid 2/3 of his wages as far as it was reported.Still, if the loveable, cheeky, little Joe says it, then who could question his interpretation of club stature. Regardless of that, isn't this a rehash of what he wrote last year, or is he just reminding us he's still about? Oh and he's currently injured, but hopes to be fit for the start of the season.............. Edited July 27, 201411 yr by Mr Pink
July 27, 201411 yr Joe Allen is now being compared to Xavi? My God...the Scousers have gone full retard. Where this being said? Please don't say RAWK as that doesn't count. Think he improved for us last year, but not quite that much. That's more than a bit generous.
July 27, 201411 yr Lovren to Liverpool for £20m has been confirmed: http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/167331-dejan-lovren-seals-liverpool-transfer Good signing for them I think. Quite expensive, but a very capable defender and a good footballer. Before Christmas (and before he got injured) he was one of the best centre backs in the league, he was good towards the end of the season as well. Bad news for us I suppose as Liverpool really do need to reinforce their defence and this is a good start; they are a left back away (maybe a right back too considering Johnson is more of a Josemi than a Steve Finnan) from having a very dangerous XI. I look forward to a very enjoyable scrap between them and Man Utd for fourth!
July 27, 201411 yr According to the Telegraph, Joe Allen is the new Xavi for the Dippers, Remy failed his medical in the US and is a non starter for them and the Gooners have signed the Colombian keeper Ospina. Well, the latter will fit right in, moving from the slums of Medellin to the slums of north London.
July 28, 201411 yr I was on another Chelsea forum at the time and they never took it well. When he come out and said those things about Liverpool when he first joined them, it really pissed me off. I couldn't believe that one of my favourite Chelsea players of all time would say such a thing. I got over it slightly after a while and then when he came out and told everyone that he was basically put in a position that he had to say what he said, it made perfect sense, i loved him again after that. It was great that it was one of our ex players that said that about Liverpool. Joe Allen is now being compared to Xavi? My God...the Scousers have gone full retard. They went full retard a long time ago, i don't know what level they are at now

I look forward to a very enjoyable scrap between them and Man Utd for fourth! I disagree, they should have spent that money on getting quality fullbacks as that's where their problem lies. Nothing is wrong with their centre backs, they have 3 great ones and a ton of youth for depth. Lovren isn't better than Sahko and he's their 3rd choice CB. Edited July 28, 201411 yr by Remodez
July 28, 201411 yr Following Remy's failed medical Liverpool are now considering a move for.... Jay Rodriguez. Of Southampton. I think Rodger's need to see about adding to his address book.
July 28, 201411 yr Joe Allen is now being compared to Xavi? My God...the Scousers have gone full retard. rodgers called him the welsh xavi, i think its all tongue in cheek, or at least i hope it is....
July 28, 201411 yr Not too fussed about the remy stuff, definitely wouldnt want to risk it injury wise. We're sorted at centre backs now, I don't mind enrique but I'm sick of glen johnson, he used to be alright but he's been terrible for about a year and a half now, i'd be disappointed if he's in our starting 11 this season. I think now we need a player on the wing who'll drop into the middle to link up sturridge with our midfield, sanchez would have been great and its a good sign we were in for him, hopefully it means we are still trying to get someone of that caliber in

I look forward to a very enjoyable scrap between them and Man Utd for fourth! Yeah he's a decent signing. The price is very high but I guess they're in a similar position to the one we were in a few years ago where everybody knew we were flushed with cash and wanted players so had to pay a premium. I think they definitely need to address the full-back situation, it seems that they're a bit late to the party though as Southampton have already lost Shaw to Man Utd and seem set to lose Chambers to Arsenal. I guess that leaves Clyne, another Southampton RB who's pretty good going forward and was being touted in the media as a possible replacement for Johnson a few months ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if that one resurfaced. It must really suck to be a Southampton fan right now. Edited July 28, 201411 yr by bluedave
