Sky need to sack Martin Tyler. He's getting ridiculous.

I have been saying that for years, i'm not even joking when i say he is the worst commentator ever. The guy goes silent for long periods of a game, he sounds bored all of the time, he rarely shows excitement. How has he stayed in the job so long ?

OMG THIS  :laugh2:  :laugh2:

They have literalloy threatened to ban anyone who comments on them losing.

Typical Liverpool fans.

I wonder will Brendan mention great character and determination in the post match. Probably thinks them unlucky not to get something out of the game.

from what I saw on RAWK apparently they only made 3 mistakes the whole match and conceded on them so you're not far off.

He'll mention how much City have spent.

Bet you

pretty comfortable for City. despite the commentary team talking up LIverpool throughout the game, they really didn't threaten at all.  if I was a City fan watching that I'd be disgusted with the Sky commentary - might as well be LFCtv

Fernando had another great game. Still maintain he will be right up there as signing of the season.

Not really stood out for me tbh.

Granted city's strength up front is strong, but lack of faith and conceding the title to them is disappointing to see...we beat this lot home and away last season ffs

Exactly. I think people forget that City's attack was just as strong last season and we only ended up being 4 points off.

Pretty obvious we set up to counter City and instead Pellegrini has played a blinder. City defended deep put men behind the ball (9 at times) and totally reversed the game. As usual we gave a soft goal away and then proceeded to get counter attacked by the best team in the league.

Pellegrini had it spot on. Luckily for us our season wont be defined by a loss at the Etihad.

It's ok when they do it then  :0)

Towards the end of last season when City and Liverpool were playing each other, Martin Tyler actually said "oh no" when City scored an equalizer. And when we played them a couple weeks later when we were 1-0 up at half time he said "it's bad news i'm afraid". It took him a few seconds to realise that he was coming across bias and then added "if you're a Liverpool fan"

Martin Tyler is sh*t, there are far better commentators on Sky Sports, why does he always get the big games ?

They don't understand the concept of the midfield helping out the defence, mainly because Gerrard has been playing there for so long.

Yeah it was pathetic. At least Neville is very neutral and calls a spade a spade.

That was very comfortable for City. They never went out of second gear and they never had to.

God the daily mail have about 6 or 7 articles on Balotelli at Liverpool...

Why do the press/media obsess over that small sh*tty club?

interesting that Brendan doesn't criticise the positioning of the back 4 for the third goal as Carragher and Neville just did, he blames it on not pressing high enough up the pitch....

Well, he's not completely wrong. Lovern and Monero were pressing while the other two were dropping back, they had no idea what they were doing.

agreed - Lovren was all over the place. It'll be interesting to see how Spurs approach Liverpool at the weekend, I haven't seen any coverage of Tottenham yet.
