August 24, 201411 yr If United are going to play him on the wing like many think, such as Neville, then they are pissing their money up a wall. If it's to play in midfield next to Herrera, Carrick, etc then it will be a fantastic signing as it addresses their midfield issues. Now they just need defenders, they seem to have some lined up already.
August 24, 201411 yr Having read what I just wrote, If Hazard and Aguero have good seasons they will be commanding Bale money in transfer fees, It will be interesting to see what happens next summer, Especially if Real don't retain the CL and win the League, You can buy a lot of Pogba's, Barkley's and Reus' with that kind of money.

Agreed but realisitcally only one of those would ever likely be sold at their prime, and that would be Hazard if he pulled a Robben on us. Weren't United meant to have an easy set of fixtures to start the season? Lmao No to be fair that would be us, 2 promoted sides. If United, you, Liverpool etc had started with our two fixtures a fair few would have expected 2 high scoring wins for any of them. Thanks. I think it's hard to know how good we are as we were inconsistent last week and QPR were poor today. I guess that means 'no' but we seem much improved compared to most of last season and there's a level of commitment there that's good. We were pressing up the pitch today and that brings risks against teams better than QPR. Well done to Chelsea too - a smooth start to the season and it looks as if you have skillful, hard working, players in most positions. I think that, when it comes down to it, the title will be between you and City (an obvious point but true). All that matters is the 6 points out of 6 that any side looking to win the title should achieve from the sides we faced. We looked very good for the first half against Burnley and pretty good for the second half on the weekend. We will see how we fair against Everton, Swansea conquers of United, and then City. Interesting thread on Redcafe, http://www.redcafe.net/threads/shoehorning-mata-rooney-van-persie-into-a-line-up.395075/ RvP is a really, really good goalscorer. And while he may come back to top form this season in to the next one as well perhaps, I just wonder if it is a case of the RvN about him. Would Fergie be looking to cash in now and move him on to a Real Madrid or PSG with Di Maria coming in. Edited August 24, 201411 yr by axman2526
August 25, 201411 yr I'm a fan of Di Maria, but I would be angry if we paid 50M for him, let alone something in the 70s range. He will be the most expensive wing back in history. Talk about buying success, how much has United spent since Fergi's departure?

However now that we have much stronger strength in depth than we have had previously means we can counter that. Pool... August 25, 201411 yr According to the latest, manures are willing to pay up to 72m for Di Maria. Lol. He is never worth that kind of money, I feel.
August 25, 201411 yr saw highlights of the spuds/qpr game...where were the rangers fans....looked like spuds had the corner bit as well....such a sh*t support for a london derby...poxy little sh*t club!!
August 25, 201411 yr It says a lot about Robbie Fowler's commitment to one-upsmanship that he would celebrate a moment which won Man Utd the Champions League just to slip in a dig at Chelsea. That said I can't imagine there are many people in football whose opinion I value less.
August 25, 201411 yr Di Maria was a top 10 player in the world last season, a club with United's financial muscle and in the dire situation of having a sh*t team with a sh*t overrated manager is making the right decision in bringing him in, in my opinion.
August 25, 201411 yr Couldn't help but let out a satisfied evil chuckle when I read this on the BBC's Man City - Liverpool preview: In the blue corner, a side who won more matches at home than any other team in the top flight in 2013-14 and are unbeaten in seven games at the Etihad Stadium. In the red corner, a team who possessed the joint-best away record in the Premier League and have a habit of finding the net - they've scored in 28 out of 29 league games Who were the one team to beat City at the Etihad and prevented Liverpool from scoring in that one of out twenty-nine league games?

Liverpool have failed several times in the league when they've come close to winning it but they still don't have that Premier League title, we have that European Cup in our cabinet.
August 25, 201411 yr Don't remember it pouring down with rain at Anfield last season. Must have been all the tears!
August 25, 201411 yr The Balotelli signing is confirmed: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28927162
August 25, 201411 yr Liverpool fans, especially on Rawk are so full of rage and hate. Never seen a Chelsea forum with so much bile and hatred aimed at opponents. They're a special breed at Rawk.
August 25, 201411 yr Liverpool and Arsenal fans in general seem to be the most hateful fans in the PL. Probably because they both used to be successful and aren't any more. Jealousy mostly.
August 25, 201411 yr Liverpool and Arsenal fans in general seem to be the most hateful fans in the PL. Probably because they both used to be successful and aren't any more. Jealousy mostly. Bingo, Liverpool fans you can excuse because they are generically stupid but Arsenal fans are mostly posh London boys, No excuse for their delusions.

August 25, 201411 yr Either Lampard/Dzeko and Jovetic are all starting or we're going to drop points tonight, Some serious odds shifting happening in favor of Liverpool. As we speak Chelsea are 11/10 faves for the title with us at 5/2, If we drop points Chelsea will become 8/11,4/6 faves and with Mourinho sides that's usually their way of saying 'Good night Vienna', Oh well at least that would give us the opportunity to focus on the CL for once.
August 25, 201411 yr I am torn over who i want to win tonight. I guess if forced to make a prediction based on my wants, it would be a draw, but I have a feeling city will edge it. I am going for a 2-1 win to City.
August 25, 201411 yr Author Bingo, Liverpool fans you can excuse because they are generically stupid but Arsenal fans are mostly posh London boys, No excuse for their delusions. Yep, you are most likely to find an Arsenal fan in a wine bar, after attending a rugby match I might add.
August 25, 201411 yr Is this match big enough for Gerrard to f**k up yet? Or will he wait until it really matters?
