As much as I don't want Tottenham to win (they'll be top of the league won't they?) - QPR losing and hopefully being relegated again would be fantastic to see.

I think if the score stays as it is we will still be top of the league because we have scored more goals.

Dint think Di Maria at £56m will make as big an impact as some people think...panic buy

Spot on. And the sum of money being suggested is ludicrous. They aren't even answering any of their shortcomings as a squad. Looks like Fellaini and Wellbeck are being forced to stay due to injury. Should make the club ecstatic because now they can't raise some money for DiMaria.

Where does Mata fit into all of this? On the bench? Van Gaal certainly not going to play RVP up top with Rooney centering DiMaria and Mata, will he? They will be torn to pieces when they have to defend. Not like the deeper midfield is much better and that backline (even with Rojo) is Mid table at best.

Typical.

Battered for 16 minutes then score

Typical Sunderland really, playing well then being soft at the back. They tend to do that against us to at the Stadium of Light but then look a completely different side when they come to the Bridge.

How the f*ck is Tom Cleverly a Man Utd player.

Sign of the times. I guess.

He would struggle in the Championship, let alone the Premier League.

Di Maria is a fantastic buy for them and is a clear upgrade on Nani, what I can get my head around is the €75m fee. Absolutely ridiculous amount for a player that wants out, Utd are getting their pants pulled down here when you consider the amount Madrid sold Van Der Vaart, Sneijder, Robinho and Robben for.

I don't think its 75 million Euros that is being reported, I just saw on the sky sports news ticker and on the mail online, It could rise up to £75 million or that's what Real value him at, If he was worth buying at £50 million which i said he wasn't he's certainly not worth buying at £75 million.

Di Maria will be a good signing - but it won't solve the problems they have in central midfield or defense.

Just like Mata this is a purchase which United are making because they are becoming desperate to sign anyone.

In the meantime Sunderland create another clear cut chance while pretty much waltzing through United's defense

Sunderland have had their chances and United still have no clue how to defend crosses - but Sunderland have failed to convert them and it will probably turn out to be their undoing.

Seems to be a thing in football these days, teams often don't strengthen in the areas they need. Arsenal have needed a DM and defenders for years yet they sign players like Ozil and Sanchez. Midfield has aldo been a problem for United for a hell of a long time yet they haven't really done anything about it. I remember Real Madrid doing the same for a lot of years too.
