I wonder if he picked it at the end of tonight's game.

Some of those posts on rawk really do need to seen to be believed, someone is talking about 2 or 3 billionaire clubs inflating the market, this from a club that paid £25m for adam the llama, now there is no way the llama, is worth 7m less than eden hazard, and they say we are inflating the market. jesus

They didn't remotely deserve to go through and Brendan looks like a mug yet again for claiming that if Liverpool go through they can 'conquer Europe'. But I suppose self-awareness isn't Liverpool's best attribute is it?

Chiles is Gerrard's own personal cheer leader

Phil Dowd: What a c**t

Martin Tyler erks me as much as Adrian Chiles, if ever the two were able to reproduce, or had a threesome with Phil not well en Dowd, the offspring would be someone like Gerrard.

Sterling looks awful, It almost makes you wonder if his form last year was just pure fluke or because Suarez made the other players around him look better, There certainly wont be any £48 million bids from Real for him.

The 4-1 Arsenal result didn't really tell the whole story, but all the goals were great, Ramsey's obviously I think is going to be a Youtube hit and Podolski's near post finishing is fantastic

He's a good player, Liverpool is just over playing him. He's only 19, never understood why he starts every match.

There going to ruin him early like they did with Michael Owen and he'll be hampered by injuries by the time he's 25.

Very poor tactically from Rodgers tonight, although not helped by some genuinely bad performances by almost the entire team.

Makhovic showed more effort and flair from his short spell than most of the others did in the entire game.

When Sterling eventually provides a regular end product he might be a decent player. Right now he's an overrated little under-achiever that if we did receive a decent offer for I'd be only too happy to snap their hands off. Just nowhere near good enough, and he needs to start playing to the whistle, and stop sulking.

And as for the atmosphere, well it reminded me of the 80s when we were Rd Enders, and used to laugh at the kop and it's sh*te songs. Tonight we could just about make out a couple over the Basle fans, but overall it was non existent, and something else from the past that the club uses to desparately sell its 'brand'.

Gollocks to it.

I love that and seeing your avatar of Jose celebrating next to it...just a reminder of how arrogant and unclassy they were...'we're going to win the league' - far too cocky by half...got what they deserved

always felt there is an air of Aaron lennon mark two about him...once you take his speed out of the equation, what else is there?

Sterlings a good player, not worth 48m, but,  like michael owen, your gonna run him into the ground playing him every week!

Can't stop laughing about how the commentators say how good the Liverpool supporters were against Basel? Apart from some good chants from Basel Anfield was so quiet you could hear a pin drop!

The myth has been busted again!

Didn't realise Europa League winners now qualify for champs league? Is it at the expense of the 4th placed team again?

Would be a travesty if Liverpool finished outside of Europe, but won Europa League and took someone like sotons place.

Imagine if Liverpool somehow come fourth in the league and their place is taken away by Everton when they win Europa League :) or Man U/Arsenal's spot is taken by Everton or Liverpool.

Won't happen the Europa League winners get an extra place. It doesn't effect any qualification from league positions.

I think it is more because he is being asked to carry the team from an attacking perspective and he is too young to cope with it. Last year he could play second fiddle to Suarez and Sturridge which allowed him to concentrate purely on his own game. He is still an excellent prospect but £48m player he is not. He would actually improve our squad as I still feel our right hand side is our weakest area from an attacking perspective.

I rate sterling, not as highly as some have made him out to be, but he is a good player. However (and a bit of credit for brenda here) Sterling has developed because of the faith showen in him. Do you think Sterling at the same age at our place would have been given the same chances over the last couple of season. Boga and hazard (torgan) are two players of similer capability, will the get the chance here?

PS torgan looks like he is mainly being used as a sub at BM

Belfast Telegraph wading in with a strange article saying Gerrard could / should end up at Chelsea if he wants some more medals haha

Sooner have super frank back, is there any chance we can get frank on loan for the rest of the season when his city spell ends.... surly this some one must have thought about t
