Ronaldo scored tonight but Bale was Real's biggest threat. Ronaldo was barely involved when his team needed him the most.

I doubt he'll have the space to dribble and get past defenders if he were with us since teams defend so deep and sometimes within their own box. We need players that can control the ball in tight spaces and under pressure, in addition to the composure to hold it when necessary. There's a reason why Willian excels in our possession game, he can hold the ball well, and he can dribble in tight spaces -- his only issue is his lack of end product. 

 

So as you put it, my logic is that Bale isn't the player we need. At best, he's a luxury player. 

I honestly think Real Madrid are uncoachable at this point. Dressing room full of primadonnas and with the fans the way they are it's an absolute nightmare. The fact that Jose got the sack and Carlo about to get the same treatment it speaks volumes.

With Bale in the side, teams won't be able to sit back and defend against us as often. The guy is one of the best at long range shooting, you can't just sit back against Bale because he will just smash it towards goal.

Carlo = Sacked, unfortunately. For a team like that, they are still horribly dependent on one player. Bale will be out too, their fans and president don't take defeats very well.

Unfortunately, I think their defeat increases the risk of them wanting to get Hazard in the summer...

I guess Real will appoint Zidane ( or did I hear someone mention Bredan Rogers?), pay the full fee to get Pogba, buy back Morata and Di Maria, Sell Bale. Everything will be good after that, until this time next season.

This is it. The reason the Madrid fans haven't taken to Bale is not because he doesn't pass to Ronaldo, but because they expected a better player for the money that was spent. For the most expensive player in the team, Bale looks out of place and a step below all their other attacking players in terms of touch, vision, ball control etc. He's still a very good player but overrated by a lot of the English media.
