May 14, 201511 yr He's donated to plenty of charities over the years as have other footballers. That's what I've heard and credit where it's due. Like I said, that donation would've been an amazing thing and I'm disappointed it's not true. Disappointed in the people who said he had made the donation.
May 14, 201511 yr I hope Juventus smash Barca in the final personally. I think most people will want to see the Old Lady win. If you're the guy who runs that legendary Twitter feed, you're a proper lad.
May 14, 201511 yr Should be a lifetime ban IMO. He's clearly in no fit mental state to be out on the roads.
May 14, 201511 yr That's what I've heard and credit where it's due. Like I said, that donation would've been an amazing thing and I'm disappointed it's not true. Disappointed in the people who said he had made the donation. Players don't tell people how much they have donated like some PR stunt and charities don't go around telling people who has donated what. I'm sure he did donate but no one will ever know how much.
May 14, 201511 yr Ronaldo is the type of person to tell people he has donated just to be portrayed in the good light since that's what he cares most about. Either way I couldn't care less aslong as he donates he has my respect for that, he is also raising awareness towards it whether or not that's the true intention. Essien donates a lot to charity but he has never been the type of publicly state that he does.
May 14, 201511 yr to be fair, he hardly tore the league up. In most games he was average, but he just happened to score a brilliant goal and was hyped there on out by the british media; the same that has been done with kane this season (barring those 40 yard long goals). He just doesn't do enough without the ball which is the problem, and for an ex LB, he doesn't really defend well at all. His positioning seems undecided because he's often drifting in centrally where ronaldo occupies that space, so he's usually finding himself standing around while the other players pass to each other and ignore him entirely. don't get me wrong, he is by no means a poor player, but he just doesn't impress me when i watch him play. he will often come up with the occasional shot that works the keeper, the odd header or great cross, but he's very inconsistent for a player who is the most expensive in the world. it is similar to the people who rates pogba so highly, yet every time i watch him he does nothing impressive, especially off the ball he is an incredibly lazy player with poor defensive skills. for a player who's price is being banded about in the region of 60 million euros, he missed an absolute sitter last night that a player who is supposed to be great offensively, absolutely made an embarrassment of. Bale for me is the 2nd best player in the world I still stand by it, not having the best of seasons but he has the true quality, he can do just about anything. He's always portrayed in the bad light currently, but I think we can all agree that Madrid has been giving him a difficult time, lots of pressure but that's what comes with the price tag. Madrid would be idiots to sell him, as soon as he can get himself in the spotlight he will shine and keep shining. He's not going to score as much goals as Ronaldo but I can guarantee he will tear up defences more than Ronaldo ever could.
May 14, 201511 yr Yeah Lampard has been put in the shadows compared to Gerrard. Considering Lampard has achieved more in his career it's pretty sad. Did Fergie say it out of bitterness when he called Gerrard overrated? Personally I think he was right. Always the same excuse about playing in a bad team, but let me tell you something nobody ever considers. It is a lot easier to shine in a sh*t team than it is in a good one, Lampard was always the main man here despite playing with world class players, no one ever benched him until he was fully out of it. Could the same be said for Gerrard? No.
May 14, 201511 yr Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Leverkusen, Porto or Valencia Take your pick These are the clubs that could be drawn with us in the Champions League group stage next season from pot 2 (assuming Barca win La Liga)
May 14, 201511 yr Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Leverkusen, Porto or Valencia Take your pick These are the clubs that could be drawn with us in the Champions League group stage next season from pot 2 (assuming Barca win La Liga) How so? Have the rules changed?
May 14, 201511 yr Next season league champions in the top 8 UEFA ranked countries will be in pot 1 regardless of the individual club's coefficient so as things stand pot 1 would include Barca Bayern Chelsea PSG Juve PSV Benfica Zenit In some respects Pot 2 looks stronger...the other English clubs would be in Pot 2 but of course they can't be drawn against us in the Group stage Edited May 14, 201511 yr by carrickblue
May 14, 201511 yr Sorry I was slightly inaccurate before - it's the league champions in the top 7 UEFA ranked countries plus the winners from this season. If the winners come from one of the top 7 countries (which they will) then the 8th country's league champions get into pot 1

That means Arsenal can f**k off out of that undeserved pot 1 at last. It will also make no team safe in the CL, going to be interesting now.
May 14, 201511 yr If juve were to win the champions league, England will be in massive danger of losing its 4th champions league spot in 2 seasons time. I wonder if we will see some support from the likes of liverpool arsenal and tottenham fans next season, as it looks like only we can do the buisness in Europe these days.
May 14, 201511 yr 5 minutes from FT and Benitez' Napoli need a goal against Dnipro. They can't seem to be able to buy one, let alone score it. Still failing, even though he's supposed to be a cup manager (well, he's certainly not a league one). To think I've read his name associated with the Madrid job, how funny would that be?
May 14, 201511 yr Rafa...he truly is the Europa league of managers and he can't even win that (without the might of Chelsea's squad anyway)
May 14, 201511 yr So the Mail is running with United trying to bring Kane to Old Trafford for £45 million...
May 14, 201511 yr So the Mail is running with United trying to bring Kane to Old Trafford for £45 million... Oh dear. I love the lad but he's had one good season and a judgment about his future and value would be best made next season. It's stupid money to offer at this time. The price of English players is insane tbh.
May 14, 201511 yr If they want to spunk that kind of money on them, good luck to them. All i'll say is James Beattie once scored 20+ league goals in the PL and look how he ended up.
May 14, 201511 yr So the Mail is running with United trying to bring Kane to Old Trafford for £45 million... Never going to happen. Mail is an awful source, it's only natural for transfer sources to link us with every player available.
May 14, 201511 yr Never going to happen. Mail is an awful source Couldn't agree more, I only read it because the App is useable and free. I remember reading a weather report of storms in Cumbria a couple of years ago (stock photos of umbrellas blown inside out etc). That day, I actually drove round the entire County (200 miles) and there really wasn't a cloud in the sky. They write most of their stories from the comfort if their office.
