It seems that way to me, I think Remy may have said he wasn't interested with them coming so late for him.

I was kind of hoping Costa would sit this one out. 

Seems clear what will happen with number 9. Our actual number two striker is going to make history and use number 2 when he's at right back and swap to number 9 when he goes up front :)

It's good to have a striker who wants to prove a point it should be interesting to see if he is up for the challenge. I've seen a lot of Ba comparisons here, but people remember this, Ba was here before Mourinho came, Mourinho isn't going to sign Remy just to sit on the bench forever he is going to have a part this season.

Indeed. If (god forbid) Costa gets injured it's going to be Remy leading the line, not Drogba. 

Hopefully that strike is a sign that Remy is feeling new confidence in himself after transferring to one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
