Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Don't bother wasting your time, he'll say anything to put RLC down. RLC could move to Barca and he'd still argue he will never be Chelsea quality.

Never said he will never be Chelsea quality, he'll just never be quality for a top 4 team.

I could post more of those but I cba right now. It's funny how everyone waxes lyrical about his talent & potential yet people on here downplay him because he doesn't run around like a maniac. The two Chelsea managers he's worked under so far (Mourinho, Conte) are ones that value KMs clocked over technical ability. Coaches who couldn't care less about nurturing & developing young talent.

Ruben got the lazy tag attached to him very early on by Mourinho & it's stuck ever since which is why the fanbase is so divided about him. He's struggled with his fitness & stamina since his growth spurts but both of those have already improved drastically now that he's finally getting consistent gametime.

It's just individuals opinions on a player, it happens on forums.

It would be foolish to think everyone will have the same opinion on him. End of the day everyone here will want RLC to become a fantastic footballer

He's the best we have in the squad in his position. I dont know how anyone can argue with that. He's better than Baka by a mile.

Our midfield is incredibly weak other than Kante, RLC is the next best player (better than Cesc, RLC, Barkley, Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Mount). How RLC isnt a dead cert for a regular starting role amongst all posters is baffling. We don't look like we are about to sign anyone better in his position and we'd need to sign 2 as we are probably going to end up being a 3 man midfield next year.

RLC better than RLC? Hmm, I'm not so sure. Are either of them all that?!!

RLC and Mount are different players. BOTH could well make it and as I've said before, although RLC is ahead of Mount in the pecking order right now, IMO it is Mount who will have a better career at CFC.

After a few brief tries in the Chelsea first team, under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, it was only at Roy Hodgson’s Palace this year that he became an established senior player. It means that he still feels back problems at time as he adjusts, but he is improving there too.

“I’m getting more confident the more I play,” he said. “I had that period at Palace in December time where we had loads of games and I played and got through that well. In that sense I was getting confident the more I play. I still get back problems, I know I look big and strong but it’s still hard on my body. I’m working on that a lot and it’s getting better.”

Hopefully he eventually overcomes it. Even during matches you can visibly see how much it affects him at times. In the friendly against Brazil last year he was forced to come off because of it.

He’s definitely increased in size, he looks like a machine. He has some nice footwork and moves so I think he could do well. Just needs to be given time. Not every player does a Rooney or Owen and impacts the game immediately. He has shown enough to be patient.

I love mount and agree that mount could have a great career. I'm not one of the posters here who wants to pick one over the other or quibble over who is better.

Both are attack minded midfielders and both can be a part of our midfield with Kante. Maybe not next season - Mount maybe needs a touch more experience at the top top level (but I would keep him in the squad and give him Europa minutes the chance to get in).

We have got a need for a new midfielder, it's as simple as that, we must be insane if we keep Bakayoko and leave out Ruben, we will deserve to finish outside the top four again. Sell him and get Ruben in the team, Sarri will improve him. If you can't play Sarri ball you'll be getting your P45.

Who would want Bakayoko now he has been a huge flop in the EPL?

He is on big wages and has a long term contract.

Return to sender.

If only.

Did they not get Tielmans in? He is a top young player with more talent in his big toe than our big lump.

Emenalo is there, surely Marina can thrash out some sort of deal.

Since Fabinho has left they do need another CM

If that's the basis these days then half of league two are good enough for us.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Okay

Except we are talking about someone who has played well in the premier league, is young, is an England international, who has proven himself in every step up this year.

But f**k it, let's just spend 50m on someone in Europe that city, united and Liverpool don't want instead. That'll work out well.

If we look at this objectively just look at the clubs interested in him, Palace and Newcastle not Liverpool, Utd, City, Spurs or Arsenal.

No CFC manager is likely to guarantee him first team starts.

Let RLC decide.

Any ideas of he is fancied by Chelsea coaching staff.

Rumours we are favourites to sign him if he leaves.

Do you think he will and what fee if he goes

He's thought of very highly within the club and I would be extremely surprised if he were sold this summer.

He'll be in our squad, especially as we're going to have to play a lot of football this year because of being involved in the Europa League.

Very likely he stays and plays with us next season.

If not you'll be looking to pay £25m for him at least. English, Full England International, Young, Potential. We paid £15m for Barkley with 6 months left on his contract ffs.

Mate I'd snap him up for 25m.

We have a good relationship with Chelsea. Probably due to the hatred of them bastards across the park from us Deluded FC.

With lukaku coming here and Barkley to you. Why not loftus too (I hope)

Its paper talk. Because they have to write something and he made one comment about "well if I dont get minutes then I will just have to leave" - which of course he would say!

Chelsea will be mad to sell our best midfielder after Kante.

Also he has 3 years left on his contract. He would be 50m at least.
