He can`t shoot, pass and cross. He is ok defensively, decently quick and strong and quite good at dribbling at times but what position can RLC realistically play in a good PL team? DM? RB? I don`t see it. Edited May 22, 20233 yr by reparto corse

Milinkovic-Savic is about delivering goals and assists while being solid defensively as well. Strong aerial presence, strong physically on defence. He can shoot, pass, cross etc. RLC has absolutely zero end product. Milinkovic-Savic has 76 goals and 61 assists in 379 games. Ever since his injury RLC has produced a grand total of 2 goals despite playing a pretty high number of games. Please elaborate how they are similar? Milinkovic is who RLC should have been. When he broke through there were hopes he would develop into an elite box to box player, he just hasn’t lived up to those expectations.

SMS wishes he could have a season as good as RLC under Sarri in that free role in the middle of the park. Sadly after that season we moved away from a midfield three and RLC isn't suited to a pivot, therefore gets shifted to wingback or a bit part role where needed. RLC in that god awful slow Serie A will be fantastic.

RLC is in a much harder league and is a much better player than Savic. We'll come back to this next season and RLC will be thought of in a higher regard in Serie A than Savic. Same way Tomori went over there and performed better than 'best CB in the league' Koulibaly. Christ, even Lukaku does well over there.

I'm constantly amazed at the pedestrian nature of the game here, even amongst the top teams. Napoli the outlier this season because they actually moved the ball at speed. No one coped against them.

In which alternate universe is RLC a much better player than Savic? I get it, one is a Chelsea player and the other isn`t but your level of delusion is unhealthy. There is not a single team in the world that would take RLC over Savic.

AS Roma in Europa League final, Inter in CL final. 3 quarter final CL teams from Italy, last year Conference League Win (AS Roma). People are way too harsh on Serie A. Yes, it`s not up to the standards of the Premier League but NO league is. Serie A is still better than Bundesliga, French Ligue One and arguably even with La Liga considering how poor Barca, Real and Atletico are at the moment.

Watch both players and you’ll see, you’ve just seen Savic has a higher rated fifa card so rate him. Come back to me after next season.

Porto, Benfica and AC Milan to reach a CL final 🤣 embarrassed both times in the groups by Bayern. We beat AC Milan more comfortably in the groups in a season we’re finishing 12th. Serie A is dog sh*t, slow and boring with zero emphasis on intensity or attack.

May 25, 20233 yr How much will it cost to replace him? I think that's the question we need to ask ourselves. Despite the injuries he is a capable player and has played probably every position bar a goalkeeper. Hang onto him if a replacement costs more than 20 million. However, Im pretty sure there is someone in our 1000 man squad capable of stepping into his shoes.

May 25, 20233 yr Pretty sure one of the young player could take his spot in the team, I'd be angry if we spend money to get a 28 year old replacement for him.
June 5, 20233 yr Loftus Cheek’s move and the whole AC Milan window is currently suspended following the firing of Maldini and Massara. Maldini had a meeting scheduled today with Loftus Cheek’s agent but it had to cancel due to the firing. (@DiMarzio @NathGissing)

June 5, 20233 yr Actually a bit gutted for him as that would have been a great move and he would have thrived over there (if he is indeed looking to be more than a utility player). Now Maldini has gone we can most likely consider the saga over.
June 5, 20233 yr If i was Brighton i would swap him for Caicedo + Cash his salary will probably be a problem though Edited June 5, 20233 yr by azpi28
June 10, 20233 yr Milan have switched their attention to soon to be free agent Kamada, who is leaving Frankfurt.
June 26, 20233 yr Just now, Sconnie Blue said: Back on. 15m euros. I think he is worth more however getting his wages off and not losing him on a free makes that a worthwhile sale.
June 26, 20233 yr It seems to end up at a total package of €20m. Can’t help but feeling like it should have been more; knowing his power and drive when he broke through. Never really the same after the injury though and after all it’s probably hard to justify us demanding more.
