So what is this ability you are talking about? I am curious. He can`t shoot, pass and cross. He is ok defensively, decently quick and strong and quite good at dribbling at times but what position can RLC realistically play in a good PL team? DM? RB? I don`t see it.

Milinkovic is who RLC should have been. When he broke through there were hopes he would develop into an elite box to box player, he just hasn’t lived up to those expectations.

SMS wishes he could have a season as good as RLC under Sarri in that free role in the middle of the park. Sadly after that season we moved away from a midfield three and RLC isn't suited to a pivot, therefore gets shifted to wingback or a bit part role where needed. RLC in that god awful slow Serie A will be fantastic.

RLC is in a much harder league and is a much better player than Savic. We'll come back to this next season and RLC will be thought of in a higher regard in Serie A than Savic. Same way Tomori went over there and performed better than 'best CB in the league' Koulibaly. Christ, even Lukaku does well over there.

Yep. I'm in Italy, I can't avoid Serie A. I'm constantly amazed at the pedestrian nature of the game here, even amongst the top teams. Napoli the outlier this season because they actually moved the ball at speed. No one coped against them.

Oh really? So why are Serie A teams successful in European competitions? AS Roma in Europa League final, Inter in CL final.

3 quarter final CL teams from Italy, last year Conference League Win (AS Roma).

People are way too harsh on Serie A. Yes, it`s not up to the standards of the Premier League but NO league is. Serie A is still better than Bundesliga, French Ligue One and arguably even with La Liga considering how poor Barca, Real and Atletico are at the moment.

Porto, Benfica and AC Milan to reach a CL final 🤣 embarrassed both times in the groups by Bayern. We beat AC Milan more comfortably in the groups in a season we’re finishing 12th. Serie A is dog sh*t, slow and boring with zero emphasis on intensity or attack.

How much will it cost to replace him? I think that's the question we need to ask ourselves. 

Despite the injuries he is a capable player and has played probably every position bar a goalkeeper. 

Hang onto him if a replacement costs more than 20 million. However, Im pretty sure there is someone in our 1000 man squad capable of stepping into his shoes.

I think I currently have enough change in my pocket.

Pretty sure one of the young player could take his spot in the team, I'd be angry if we spend money to get a 28 year old replacement for him.

Good grief what could have happened that Milan fire a true legend like Maldini?

Actually a bit gutted for him as that would have been a great move and he would have thrived over there (if he is indeed looking to be more than a utility player). Now Maldini has gone we can most likely consider the saga over. 

If i was Brighton i would swap him for Caicedo + Cash

his salary will probably be a problem though

Can’t help but feeling like it should have been more; knowing his power and drive when he broke through. 
 

Never really the same after the injury though and after all it’s probably hard to justify us demanding more.
