Hard to choose between hazard and costa. But il go with costa. Also I thought cahill looked better, apart from getting wrong side of amalfitano.

I was considering voting for Terry, he was fantastic in defence today, but I have to go with Hazard, he was always dangerous and gave West Ham a nightmare.

Hazard, he was brilliant at times. Diego Costa was a close second though, i thought his link up play and touch was top notch today.

Diego for his link up play in the 1st half, assisted the first goal and scored a clinical 2nd - perhaps understandably the performance tailed off in the last 20 mins but overall everyone put in a good shift.

Costa was sublime. Assist and goal. Clinical.

Diego Costa for me. Brilliant goal, great pressure, always was dangerous and active in counter attacks.

0 votes for Matic so far, surprising that. Rarely is he not in the top 3 at least. Went for Hazard myself, although very good performances all round.

It's always Matic. Without him Hazard,Costa etc. don't have a foundation to do their thing.

Besides him Hazard was unplayable today. Nice to see Costa back to scoring and JT was perfect at the back and loved giving it to the pikeys.

Terry for me, utterly flawless performance capped by a second goal in two games. Honourable mentions to Hazard and Costa, both of whom were also brilliant.

The job Matic does allows so much of our attacking play, but he does much more than that. That said I think I'm developing a bit of a man crush on him so today I've gone for Dave, the best full back in the league.

 

But in truth Hazard, Terry and Costa could all get the nod.

Stand outd for me today were Hazard, Matic, Costa, Ivan and JT. All were great but have to go for JT. Captain. Leader & Legend. may he go on & on..................

IMO he'll never be goalscorer getting more than twenty season after season. yes he provides a cutting edge with his dribbling and speed but he's not a forward in the sense that ronaldo, sanchez or lavezzi are. he wants to help control the game, increase and decrease the tempo of the match. I would sooner compare him to someone like iniesta than ronaldo in fact. he's our best creative player and every player we play against knows it. very few players can receive the ball to feet, back to goal and with two players on them and still be consistently creative. he makes a lot of excellent attacking players look one dimensional in comparison.

matic is getting compared to maka more and more these days. I think he's more similar to essien. and am I alone in thinking of those two players matic is the better and more consistent player?

Fabregas. Dominated the midfield. The main reason we ticked and played so beautifully. Put on a good shift defensively too.

I agree G4 - Hazard is amazing and a joy to watch. Some of his touches and control are just sublime. Just praying he doesn't get a bad knock as we won't be the same team without him (sorry, that's stating the bleedin' obvious!) But he can literally create something out of nothing and he is so crucial to our success this season.

 

I also agree in that Matic looks a more consistent and complete player than Essien did. I think it's easy to forget how good Essien once was as the injuries and how he was after have somewhat clouded things. But even when he was at the top, I don't think he had the sort of consistency Matic now has and he also didn't have Matic's discipline. Matic will pick up yellow cards but thankfully has the discipline to stop them becoming red.

 

We really do have the nucleus of a fantastic side right now, which will hopefully dominate for many seasons to come.

My vote is for Costa. He scored a wonderful goal, gave an assist for the other & was a constant nightmare for defenders with his relentless movement. And don't forget his defensive work-rate.

 

Hazard was a close one.

 

And what else can be said about Matic? The guy is such an incredible player. He's everywhere. Like an octopus. He reminds me a lot of Fernando Redondo, the great argentinian who played years ago in Real Madrid.

 

It's not a surprise that the only loss this year came when Matic was suspended.
