Xmas time it was quite close for me between Matic Costa Hazard Terry and Fabregas. Now Hazard is running away with it, such a good player.

Hazard easily top now. Costa and Fabregas still up there for their magic at the start of the season.

Hazard has been brilliant all season long and long may it continue he has been pure class. Followed closely by JT who has been a rock at the back all season defintly deserves a mention!

 

Young player I think is obvious isn't it? Zouuuuumaaaaa!

He is the best attacking defender in the league and lately very stable in our half. I find votes  normal.

Work more on his finishing and he could get 30 goals a season.

Maximum 20 and at most 25 a season which is definitely more than good imo.

 

But still wondering what if he actually did improve it? He'll be Messi M.K II. Frightening.

It really is scary how good Hazard actually is. Even when we were playing absolutely dreadful on Sunday and passing the ball square constantly, there were numerous times he just got the ball and ran with numerous players tripping up trying to catch up with him. He's an absolute treasure and I'll be devastated if he ever leaves

Prehaps we could have the best if we stopped fitting square pegs in round holes, Dave & Luis is a much better paring than Ivan & Dave without losing any attacking intent in my opinion.

We would have the best defense if we had two players dedicated to covering the defense like Southampton do. But on the flip side, we do score a lot more goals than them.

Azpi staying back is a big reason for this team's defensive record. If he did switch to right back, he would get forward a lot more and Luis would too, that being both of their natural games (esp. Luis).

Wouldn't be near as solid I reckon. But I would still prefer that, just to see the options the players could have when going forward with the ball.

I was very impressed with how Liverpool played during the first leg of the semis. That 3-4-3 really dominated us. They were creating chances with lots of good movement whilst not looking weak at the back.

I think something similar could be interesting. We certainly have the options for it.

Hazard is the only player who is still playing as well as he did in the first half of the season, and if that continues there is no question over him deserving our POTY.

Yep for me too.

Fab, Matic and Costa have all gone a bit off the ball recently. These threes combined efforts have kept us top.

Looking through this topic, I guess that's the trouble with starting a thread like this with a fair bit of the season still to go. Back in Feb, Matic and Fabregas were both worthy contenders, but now a few weeks later there can only be one. Hazard. No-one else even comes close.

 

Let's just hope I haven't put the mockers on him now, but unlike the others, I just don't see his form dipping. The lad just get's better and better and should win ALL of the players of the season awards this time around.

Season so far, for consistency it must be Hazard surely. For anti-'mockers', I believe he will go from strength to strength and has saved the best until the last.

The new boys have all had good seasons and Terry has had a cracker too but for me Hazard is the best we have.

I agree that Hazard's been our player of the season but I think we'd have been lost without JT too, he's had an exceptional season once again easily the best centre back in the league this season. 

I think Courtois and Terry shift into #2 and #3 respectively now, with Costa coming in at #4. Courtois in particular has been incredible lately and has consistently been keeping us in games.

I kind of agree, but it'd feel harsh to drop Matic out the top 4 just because of a handful of bad games. He was absolutely vital most of the season.
