I'm glad you're capable of making an assessment on the severity of a player's injury all the way from your living room sofa. I prefer to trust the professionals that deal with the situation personally.

For your information, players can suffer some serious damage to their health or even die on the pitch without any physical contact, when for instance things like cardiac arrest happen, Bolton's Muamba or Sevilla's Puerta are just two examples. Medical professionals shouldn't rely on guesswork, otherwise they have no business being in that business.

And once more, it doesn't matter what you, I, every Shed End forum poster, Jose or the whole CFC medical department thought of the incident. The only thing that's relevant is that the referee signaled for the medical team to attend to the player and they had no other choice but to do so.

So then would you say we should fire this medical team because of the hundreds of indentical situations where they did not go on the pitch?  Clearly a lot of it is guess work but lets keep this in perspective.  We are not talking about a medic responding to a 999/911 call.  These are sports doctors who, at this level, should be able to tell the difference between a serious injury and a tired player, even if 30-50 yards away.

If they have to heed the ref, why did they ignore his first signal?

Also this social media stuff, its okay for the Manager to publically criticise them on TV but if she thanks people for their support on a social media outlet then it's not? She hasn't criticised anyone or argued her point, just thanked people. FFS, if the club do have some sort of social media censor in staff members' contracts then she can't really argue but it seems a bit pathetic, you always see people saying 'my posts are my thoughts and not that of this company' so why bother gagging them?

I disagree. She had never used her Facebook much before apparently. She could have gone on to say something conciliatory or she could have kept quiet. Instead she thanks people for their 'support’. For what? At that point she hadn't been reassigned duties, she had been called 'naive', along with Jon Fearn, and had been shouted at from the sidelines, along with Jon Fearn, in the heat of a football match.

So why is it worthy of her going public to thank people for their support? It's directly blowing up the situation into one of her being victimised for being a woman when all that had happened was that she had been criticised by the manager, along with Jon Fearn, for potentially handing the opposition an advantage. That's Jose's remit.

Jose should maybe have ducked the question on live TV and dealt with it behind closed doors after. That's his fault. But he was saying why he lost his temper, in full view of the cameras, at the end of the game. It was an honest answer. But equally she is backroom staff and answerable to Jose. Going onto social media and making out she had been a wronged victim was challenging the manager. It wasn't clever and a provocative escalation if you ask me. It left the club no choice.

(Prefix - I am pro-CFC so no offence intended) What gets me most about this story is that it's wholly unnecessary. Medical staff going onto the pitch is a commonplace of professional football. I don't comprehend JM's reaction; what did he think would happen?

As an aside, judging from the video JM is under huge pressure/stress. He's at the stage (as we've seen) where a very minor event can trigger a release of anger. I hope that stress is not communicated to the team.

Agreed, he's also a winner, so stings immediately after a result he didn't want. Not the best time to answer questions, and the press know it. I also don't know why he said it.

I bet he wishes he'd answered the questions regarding the penalty now. There'd be little fuss and just a thirty odd grand fine to pay, instead of all this rubbish

I'm not sure where or when Jose bullied her and questioned her capability as a doctor or her proffesionlisemn, could you point out the exact sentence?

What I'm saying is your over reacting

He accused his medical staff of being naive or not understanding the game.

He said he was angry with them.

They acted completely correctly.

If they are called on the pitch they have to go on.

They do not, ever never ever, seek the manager's consent.

Jose's criticism of them was without any merit whatsoever.

He's having a pop at the wrong people, again.

Fine, not necessarily a huge story, but her posting on Facebook shouldn't be a huge story either.

Jose was wrong to criticise her and even more wrong to do so publicly so he should take it on the chin.

Instead she's been demoted, and there's your huge story, and it's all Jose's making I'm afraid.

People can say there may have been other issues, fine, but the timing stinks.

This was the catalyst and the wrongdoer was Jose, but she got punished.

Not for me.

I think Eva will be back on a bench in a month or so as she's really good as what she does.

Jose will get a new guy to replace her but i feel it will be like selling andre schurrle and getting Cuadrado.

I think the main issue here is nothing to do with Eva, but all to do with Eden Hazard's "fragility".

Since around the beginning of this year I've noticed that Eden seems to be going down easier and easier when tackled, and putting on the theatrics as though his legs are broken... only for him to be up and running about two minutes later. I know he's the most fouled player in the Premiership, but even so, he is becoming a bit of a diver - perhaps not blatantly as yet, but it's definitely creeping into his game.

Jose would be better addressing this than venting anger towards the medical staff who were doing their job correctly as instructed by the referee.

Sorry but I disagree. I think Hazard is very honest for a player in his position, he could do much, much more diving/writhing around in agony if he wanted.

Meh, never been a fan of Mourinho as a person, think this is just another tick in the box. Wonder if he would critisie his medic for treating his star player if we were 8-0 up. Or indeed if the player who needed treatment was his son.

wtf am I reading?

Another day, same story with different twists. Now a lawyer said Eva has a case to sue, never thought a lawyer would like a lawsuit   Like someone said before, she wasn't sacked, It's basically a change of her role, which I'm sure most of us have experienced in life. I'm fine with it if Jose doesn't want entertain questions about Eva, for god sake we got a big match to play. It would be nice if Jose could give the medical staff some credit, so we could try to move on from this and focus on football matters.  Where is that Roman fellow? I heard he's furious about everything Jose has done this season, but I swear I have never heard him speak to anyone.

Getting sick of all this, headline news for the past few days.

You can tell the media want Jose gone and will be ramping up the pressure to see it happen ASAP.

He was wrong but for goodness sake this is a storm in a teacup

Jose f**ked up and the Jose's Jilted Lovers Club are out in force again

bit confused now Syd: are you saying that this "JLC" comprises members that have been rejected by Jose at some stage?

I feel like we need to win that match with city to turn things around or in my opinion it will be pretty sh*tty start of the season. Too much drama!

Common sense.

Jose f**ked up and the Jose's Jilted Lovers Club are out in force again

I'd say common sense is knowing you'll be punished for publicly thanking for "support" when said "support" is bashing your boss including bogus claims of sexism.

I'd also advise that's a fairly ignorant comment to make when many of this jilted club have voiced that while we feel Mourinho may have a point, or even that we may not know the whole picture, we're also saying we think he could of handled it better.

Fact remains is that Mourinho is a passionate guy and you have to take the good with the bad. We all loved it when he slid on his knees for joy at our triumphs, but that's the same burning passion and energy that led to this outburst. Let's also keep in mind that Jose never took this to the media, they asked it of him. That not much is said of the male technician who also incurred Mourinho's wrath also speaks to how blown out of proportion this is, which you can blame the media for.

And of course the Mourinho would act differently if the score was 8-0. The whole point of this outburst was that it could cost Chelsea points needlessly, and obviously that's not going to happen 8-0 up. I also suspect Mourinho takes his job so seriously that his son would only get on the pitch if he was one of the best in theworld, like Hazard.... and like Hazard, I doubt Mourinho would worry too much considering the type of injury you get from a challenge like that. Waiting an additional 10-30 seconds for medical treatment will make no difference what so ever. I love how people are acting like this was an EMT on a possible life or death 999/911 call and not a fully fit athlete who just got knocked down when they were tired.

^ yes...the english panto in full swing...now if only kev was still with us as well....oh well...we can't have everything I suppose.

Jose was wrong to question his medical staff after the game.

He was wrong and they were right.

Carneiro is within her rights to post on Facebook. She has had her professionalism and competence questioned, publicly, wrongly.

Why should she or the other guy be bullied like that?

If Jose doesn't like it, he needs to look at himself and see what started this.

He is wholly to blame.

If he's worried about a counter-attack, don't throw everyone forward for the free-kick, make them all stay back.

Simples.

When Mourinho starts having pops at those who don't deserve it, such as the fans and the medical staff and so on, he takes a lot of the fun out of it for me.

He gets paid a fortune whereas the medics get paid a humble wage, and the fans pay to watch games and travel.

He has a greater duty of care IMO.

There was absolutely no need for him to go public with his criticisms, and his criticisms were wrong.

Nobody can complain about her giving a tiny bit back in public.

Good for her.

I hope he shows some decency in his press conference tomorrow.

I'm dreading the effect this will have on the squad for Sunday.

The manager has to have the respect of his players, and he has to be seen to be fair.

Neither of these things will have been achieved with this latest episode.

It will always be a controversial ride with Jose and that's fine, I love him for it, but he has to have the truth on his side and in this case he doesn't.

God knows what Roman is making of it.

Totally unnecessary Jose.

Shame on you.

Fully with you Davey.

I've become so 'meh' about football this week. Really I should be excited for Sunday, but I'm not.

I love Mourinho I really do. what he has done for us is imeasureable - he's a brilliant manager and the greatest personality in the history of our club (which has a wonderful list of great personalities)

He's the best manager we have ever had and prob the best manager we will EVER have, but by God does he come at a cost.

What annoys me is how anyone can think that Eva's demotion was brought on by anyone but herself.

GRRRR I can hear a load of you saying but let's look at this from perspective.

Mourinho gets aggravated with his medical TEAM (no-one singled out) for their actions and states it to the press in the heat of the moment after a match.

This is a mistake by Mourinho as they were in no position to act any other way but emotions run high in football as we all know. Silly comments about would he have acted any other way with all male medical team - no. Would he have acted different at 8-0 up - yes obviously losing further points isn't at stake.

The story of singling out Eva drops by the media.

As a very public figure at Chelsea or any other public facing institution the word at the club once the story broke would have been maintain silence and don't give the press anything to feed off of and let this pass.

Eva takes to social media and (innocently in my opinion) to thank her supporters. In doing so she has ultimately gone against the clubs orders and been disciplined according. I'd also go as far as to say fairly as well, as the reason clubs demand silence around media frenzies is to avoid sh**-storms like this.

Just my thoughts but I'm struggling to see it any other way.

I always denied there was a conspiracy against chelsea until now, but I truly think we're being screwed over by the media once again.

f**k them all!

The female of the species is deadlier than the male ... don't forget folks, lol !

An attractive, cutie may well topple the greatest Manager we have ever had?

Be careful what u wish 4 ...

Jokingly aside ... I suspect this has been building for quite some time and came to a head, be it in an unacceptable way, Saturday?

... which now puts Eva in a position of strength ...

Jose may well not fancy a woman doctor in the male dressing room and he is perfectly entitled to that opinion, if true?

Sod political correctness, it's no difference than u or I choosing the sex of doctor we want to see at our local surgery.
