Chelsea vs Southampton (PL) 15/03/2015 KO: 13:30 GMT

so you're saying we already won against leicester?

No.

That can still count as a defeat, can it not? If we lose that then it'll still be six points say we played them Wednesday.

WTF Long always seems to play his best against CFC. He did so when he was at WBA & he did it again today. He caused our defense problems all match long. Same w/ Mane. However I am not upset w/ this draw. That point will assist CFC to win the league. Awesome match to watch & fair play to Southampton. Didn't park the bus & took good chances at CFC.

These are are remaining games:

Hull away

Stoke at home

QPR away

Man utd at home

Arsenal away

Leicester away

Crystal palace at home

Liverpool at home

West Brom away

Sunderland at home

I can only see about 3 of those I would feel confident going into.

Hull away we should win.

Stoke are the kind of side we struggle against.

QPR always seem to get points of us away

Man utd are better than they were when we drew at the start of the season and will punish our defence a lot more than Southampton did

Arsenal away we are f**ked

Leicester we should win

Crystal Palace we should win

Liverpool will outplay us most likely, but we might get a draw

West Brom love beating us 1-0 away

Sunderland will be playing their cup final

Matic one was a penalty, he took the man first, I don't think the Costa was one at all, he went down far too late and it looked like he actually slipped over.

100% agree. surprised to see so many complain about the pen against us.

i think today was a game that zouma would have helped us out with massively. their pace caused us huge problems, we needed better cover at the back

Any pacy forward will cause us problems.

On the bright side at least that fixture is out of the way - after Wednesday it was a bit of a worry coming into this game given that Soton have played consistently well all season. A much better & committed performance from us & at the end we've been a bit unlucky but full credit to them: organised, bright on the counter & they harried & kept their shape all day. For us - the same blemishes in attack albeit we were certainly more urgent today which was lacking on Wednesday. It's frustrating for sure - not being able to kill games but the six points is a handy buffer.

As it stands now, every away game will be a real tough game.

Next weekend we are once again playing Sunday and City and Arsenal are once again playing Saturday.

Hopefully they knacker themselves out a bit in midweek but City play West Brom, who may have a chance but it is a home game for City and Arsenal go to Newcastle. That will be a 1-5 win for them as Newcastle are arguably the most hopeless side in the league at the moment.

Agreed- no gimmes from here on in. We do appear to be a bit uncomfortable playing at home at the moment, whether that's the way teams set up against us, or the pressure from playing in front of expectant fans- who knows.

Also, we have 1 more game in the rest of March, and no other competitions. Tiredness should be less of an issue in theory...

I will say that it was a enjoyable game of football to watch. First half Southampton were excellent, second half they faded but defended well. They deserve a lot of credit for their display.

First half we were poor after we scored, but could not score when we were playing a lot better in the second half. Two teams did try to win it, and it made for good viewing. I hope we can use the second half performance to move forward on to Hull. Jose has a week to work with the players and I hope we make best use of it.

People thinks it's an overreaction but just wait to we play Arsenal and United.

If you think we can take points from them in our current form you are sadly deluded.

We have been in horrible form for quite some time now. It's mo good deciding to show up midway through the second half.

This doesn't strike me as a EPL champion side, I'd love to be wrong.

This is it, the performances are worrying, I bet Arsenal are starting to believe now

Just a small pizza? McDonalds?

You're allowed one of those small/personal pizzas made up of 4 slices

Arsenal will be a piece of piss. Jose has got Wenger's number

Not worried about the league, I think after our next 3 fixtures we will be 9 points clear with a game in hand.

That's stretching it a bit. I'd be very happy if we can maintain the 6 pt lead.

They have the best defensive record along with Chelsea

They played just as good as CFC today and could of

nicked it.

A good point with a much better 2nd from the team

Pessimism still abounds when we top the league and have been all season. Remarkable

Edit thought it was Arsenal vs Pool next weekend but I see they're going away to Newcasle which they'll probably piss
