Diego "the guv'nor" Costa

It's hilarious how you're trying to take credit for Costa's new position on leaving post 100% tax rule :laugh2: I'm sorry but it was so painfully obvious. You might be a genius but this one didn't take a genius to put together. I don't even remember your own post on this.

Chelsea may not have wanted to sell him around the time the story broke in January because obviously he was firing on all cylinders but as the story has persisted since then, no one at the club has come out and vehemently said "Diego Costa is going to be a Chelsea player next season, no questions asked." Part of those "cold decisions" Conte talked about will probably include Costa. And not in the way you see it. Want to know why? When pressed yesterday or so on Costa, Conta declined to directly comment and gave a vague "I'll have to take a few days to consider every player's future" answer. A cold decision also means getting rid of a 20 goal a season striker because the manager has a problem with his attitude (attitude - something that's very important to Conte). Time will tell which of us is right. But I'll guarantee you one thing - if a 70m offer comes in for Costa this summer, Chelsea will sell.

We don't need every player playing for us to be in love with us like Terry or Lampard or Drogba but some level of professionalism and respect is required. They aren't playing for us for free. The matchday tickets we buy and number of times we tune in with our Sky subscriptions is what pays their weekly wages. Whether you want to admit it or not, they owe their living to us FANS.

If it doesn't take a genius why are you schooling me about it like you're the first kid in the class to have discovered dirty movies, the point was you're telling me something in a patronising way I have already said.

The manager has a problem with his attitude? Who told you that? part of teh reason he said he was happy at chelsea in his last interview is his relationship with the manager, carrying him out of the press conference to celebrate shows his utter contempt for him mind you....

Where did he show he was unprofessional? By scoring 20 goals after being linked with atletico at the start and china in january? When did he not show the club and fans respect, now you're having to indulge in fantasy to stick with your narritive

It's incredible how you manage to take one point and draw a completely different meaning from it.

First of all, I mentioned the tax thing because the post I quoted didn't seem to put that into context. Nothing to do with "schooling".

Also, I never directly said Conte HAS a problem with Costa RIGHT NOW. Let me state my position unequivocally so you don't misinterpret it again: If Costa is sold, it will be because Conte wants him gone. If he stays, it will be because Conte wants to keep him" (whether you think Conte should keep him or not is just your opinion one way or the other).

Since we're nitpicking, he didn't score 20 goals after being linked with a move away. He had scored 14 goals up to that point, if I'm not mistaken. Which means he scored only 6 goals in the league between January and May. 5 months. You show respect by not throwing a circus on our season while we're doing well. It's not a thing exclusive to Costa so there's no need to act emotional about it. Drogba's disrespected us like that in the past before, although just once. Hazard too this season. For all the stick he has gotten from Chelsea fans for being a loud mouth at times, Courtois did come out and end his own rumours. If you're going, say it. If you're leaving, say it. Don't throw a circus into a focused and potentially successful season by letting the media run with nonsense (which they will always try to do).

There's no need going back and forth with this. I've made my opinion clear. If he stays, I'll support him during the season like any other Chelsea players. If he leaves, I'll be happy to see the door shutting behind him. Whether you like that opinion or not isn't my concern.

He was linked with Atletico last summer...do you get on with people in the real world, you're quite an arrogant sort, you say things like "so you don't misinterpret again" yet base it on you saying: "A cold decision also means getting rid of a 20 goal a season striker because the manager has a problem with his attitude (attitude - something that's very important to Conte)" I answer by saying "The manager has a problem with his attitude? Who told you that?" You're speculating, Im asking why, and you start all this bollocks about I never directly said...we are no longer debating football but your ego, that's when I check out, you might be lonely but I'm not I just come here to talk about football and enjoy myself, you're way too much of a debby downer for me, but all the best.

The guy who goes on about "oh I was the one who came up with the idea of the 100% tax being the reason for Costa's new stance and now everyone's following me" is talking about someone else's ego? Ah, I love football fans. I'm arrogant for not wanting you to misinterpret what I said? Tell me, when two people are trying to say "this thing could mean A or it could mean B", does that mean one of them has directly said "it means B"? You're the one who's on ego trips whether it's a Costa discussion or a youth player discussion or a Cahill/VVD discussion but I'm the one with an ego? Pure projection. :laugh2:

Alright then, sorry for rustling you out of thin air. I'll now retreat to my sad, lonely life with my insecurities and at the same time massive ego and weak personality where I never get along with anyone. :JC_doubleup:

Wait i'm sorry so option A) Manager has a problem with his attitude, where is the option B, unless you're referring to my point in contrast, to which I say, you're giving your point, I'm giving mine, I question what you base your point on and your answer is I didn't directly say it.... A-B-B-A-A-B, is this a f**king riddle?

Do you deliberately make things hard for yourself just for the fun of it? Let's end this please. It's derailing the thread completely. Not about to get into a cock fight.

It's the Drogba drama all over again, all the attainable replacement's are downgrades and we have a bad track record when it comes to forward's. So i hope he stays, keeps scoring, carrying the side on few occasion's while helping us to more silverware then when he leaves we can all suffer from abnesia and pretend his whole CFC career was garden's, roses and party's in Munich.

Because unlike the manager then, this one is good at man management.

Why does it have to be one or the other? Why can't we have both? Our defense needs serious surgery still.

Which one of the current 3 would you drop to play VVD, cause we are not spending 50mil for a bench player. In case, you say GC, which leaves us brutally short in terms of leaders on the pitch.

Secondly, it would mean that Andreas will be our 5th choice CB. Which i dont think he will accept reading from all the interviews of him and his father.

So basically i just dont see both happening. Also, Most teams in the world would kill to have the options of Andreas-zouma-ake as the CB options.

Also, i dont think VVD even improves us. If (as rumored), we talk about Boateng, then thats the kind of upgrade we should be looking at.

Cahill is coming up 32 and David's been playing with injury for month's there's no guarantee either won't hit the rocks at some point and apart from the winning run the defense hasn't been brilliant. Heart's saying the current 3 plus Christensen and Ake is enough, heads saying we need a new defender.

If that new defender improves our team, then I am all in, ie Boateng, if the player does not/hardly improves our first team, and also hampers the development of 3 extremely talented youngsters (Andreas, zouma, ake), then I am not for it.

Gc being 31 is not much of a concern. He is not someone who relies on his athleticism and speed.

I don't know what to make of this statement but it makes me feel like he's really going. After all, Diego has switched sides before (Brazil to Spain)

Can see him staying with us for another year. I will have no problem with it, but only if we will get what we got from him in the first half of the last season.

When he works hard, focusing on the game and ready to score, then he is one of the best in the world.

I am happy that he is staying. But i still want us to go get us another reliable striker. I would not mind Llorente from Swansea if money is an issue, But Moratta would be nice and i am hoping that Moratta not even featuring in the bench of Real Madrids champions league team will usher him closer to exit.

Morata came on late.

Its James who didn't make the bench.

Thanks for correcting me - my apologies for the mis-information. I do hope that this win does not inspire Moratta to stay with Real Madrid although that will be the smart move.
