October 4, 201510 yr Useless loan. I knew it from the beginning that Jose won't revive Falcao. An impossible mission, he lost his class and he is not a top player anymore. He somehow had more trust than Remy from Jose.
October 4, 201510 yr Can we please get rid in January and bring back bamford or at least promote one of the youth strikers?
October 4, 201510 yr Ye because recalling a player who cant make the XI of crystal palace will change our fortune, pele would struggle to score in this team at the minute, no service what so ever

We could recall Solanke instead mind you.

October 4, 201510 yr two words that you need to comprehend - Player DevelopmentYou think any team as big as chelsea would be willing to play a youth player as a lone CF at a time like this for "player development" no chance, and tbh i dont think bamford will ever be good enough imho
October 4, 201510 yr You think any team as big as chelsea would be willing to play a youth player as a lone CF at a time like this for "player development" no chance, and tbh i dont think bamford will ever be good enough imho I was watching Bayern do it today & all season, so yes I do believe CFC could develop players from the Academy that assist the team achieves it's goals, but it takes time. Look at playing Bamford as an investment, which can payoff in time. Think in the Long Term & not the short term.

You can added that, no matter how badly he or Solanke did for us, they would be no worse than Falcao or remy have been this season.

Plus that was his 2nd game started!!
October 5, 201510 yr Maybe if we got off his back and supported him it would help. Falcao has played no worse than Costa has this season, the main problem has been the service to the strikers. Maybe we could mix it up and play with both Costa & Falcao, as the one lone striker really hasn't helped our attacking efforts when our wingers hardly cross and cut back back in, or don't play the ball in early enough to the strikers runs into space. If you watch Falcao his movement and probing into space is brilliant, but players like Hazard and Willian have blinkers on at time when they could blatantly pass the ball to him in the box. October 5, 201510 yr I agree with the above. Maybe he just cannot adapt to the premier league. Or maybe he has just "lost it". Ok, with better service he will still score goals, but not enough for a title winning team.
October 5, 201510 yr I would say he should go to Italy where pace isn't needed as much but it didn't work out too well for Torres.
October 5, 201510 yr Only a complete nutter can not see he is totally finished, caput, finito !! Sorry if it sounds harsh, but look at our league position please, especially the GS column. Edited October 5, 201510 yr by coco

We are not giving him any balls to work with we never played ball to feet for him and his team mates let him down .....with better service he would score
October 5, 201510 yr I don't think he is going to be any good for us, but I have to admit, he put in some graft but had no decent service on Saturday.
October 5, 201510 yr Honestly we play such a stupid style of play for our strikers this season, lumping it up to a lone striker really winds me up.
October 5, 201510 yr We're barely creating anything from open play at the moment. Barring a few pot shots from distance we created nothing against Southampton. Falcao needs service inside the area, Costa too really and right now the midfielders aren't doing that. Basically Falcao is the least of our problems right now.

Not his fault if that is the type of player he is nowadays, but it just goes to underline what a pointless signing he was. With the team miss-firing, we could really do with a decent, reliable striker, who didn't rely on service but created chances for himself. an Aguerro, Suarez or Sanchez. Unfortunately Falcao is turning out to be the flop the majority of us predicted.

United ended up having to spend potentially up to £68m for Martial.
October 7, 201510 yr Comes back to the question of who else was available and willing to play second fiddle to Costa? United ended up having to spend potentially up to £68m for Martial. I know and the fact he was happy to play second fiddle and take his £100k pw shows exactly what stage of his career he is at. Perhaps he might just prove his worth if we progress in the CL but I honestly would have preferred us to go into this season with Bamford as our 3rd striker.
