December 9, 201510 yr Starting to think there might have been some truths to those ages rumours. Would make him 34 now and his "transformation" would make a lot more sense Costa or Falcao?
December 9, 201510 yr Costa or Falcao? Falcao. Was some rumour a few years back that he was a lot older then he led everyone to believe.
December 9, 201510 yr Radamel Falcao Garcia Zarate cannot do any worse than Diego da silva Costa tbh. It's just whether the former can get ahead of Loic Remy in the pecking order.
December 9, 201510 yr Just give him a few games in the reserve, wasn't that what LVG made him do last season? We are having enough trouble just to win a game, no room to play someone back from injury.
December 31, 201510 yr Has suffered a reoccurrence of his thigh injury and will apparently miss the whole of January. Probably best that we terminate the loan if possible because at present our two reserve strikers are always picking up injuries and not providing enough competition for places.

Yeah IF we can do so we certainly should. As good a finisher as he is Remy should also head out, whenever Diego cannot play neither can he. We need to sign One new striker, maybe as well as that lad we are meant to be interested in from Shaktar. That or have Bamford as Diego's number 2. (This is assuming we do not get rid of Diego as well which would be preferable) Edited December 31, 201510 yr by axman2526
December 31, 201510 yr We need to sign One new striker, maybe as well as that lad we are meant to be interested in from Shaktar. Alex Teixeira is an attacking midfielder, not a striker.
December 31, 201510 yr With Jose gone there is no longer a project for Falcao s rehabilitation. We should offload him asap
December 31, 201510 yr The loan needs to be terminated if it's possible! It isn't working and this latest injury setback reaffirms this.
December 31, 201510 yr Such a shame how far he's fallen, and now can't avoid injuries or reoccurring ones.
December 31, 201510 yr At least 80% of this forum knew this wouldn't work out, it's not rocket science. Just get rid as soon as possible and forget this ever happened. Edited December 31, 201510 yr by CFCholland
December 31, 201510 yr At least 80% of this forum knew this wouldn't work out, it's not rocket science. How do we make mistakes like these? Only 80? LoL This was one of those traincrashes you could see a mile away. Time to cut our losses
December 31, 201510 yr I seem to recall here and there the predictable "if anyone can get him going again, it's Jose" :-) Edited December 31, 201510 yr by Valerie

December 31, 201510 yr Falcao is the biggest stick you can use on Jose for this season imo. I firmly believe his agent Jorge mendes convinced Jose to give falcao a shot and Jose was foolish to agree. Replacing a 37 year old drogba with an inferior and injury prone player. Losing a big figure in the dressing room and a good option in the process. Didier did a solid when Diego and Remy were out. Jose left himself with the same crock he did not trust much last season and an even more injury prone as well as useless forward as his other option. It was a silly mistake we all saw coming.

December 31, 201510 yr Replace the name Jose ^ with -Roman and Co-, and I totally agree. But Jose was pretty enthusiastic about Falcao, saying how at United he wasn't the real Falcao, he's going to be make him great for us etc. It sounded like Jose wanted him, whereas when he asked about the Remy signing he was like: Oh I don't know what the club is doing, we're signing Remy? OK then. Not hard evidence of anything but you can generally guess which signings Jose has a hand in.
December 31, 201510 yr 140,000 a week for the rest of the season. It was obvious we should never have gone anywhere near him. But we did. Sums up the kind of stupidity that has plagued our transfer dealings recently.

Sums up the kind of stupidity that has plagued our transfer dealings recently. Whoever sanctioned the Falcao move should face the sack. This loan was always destined to be a failure, the worst thing is that is was so easy to predict the outcome. Our transfer dealings have taken a sharp downward trend in the last couple of years, we went through a period were we signed good young talent who were hungry for success and suddenly decided the end product player was again the way. Yes we got a title but at what cost? A rebuild is needed again.

December 31, 201510 yr That happened a few weeks back Yep, there's no doubt this was a Jose signing. He loves an ageing striker.

The manager needs to be on the same page as the rest of the club.
January 7, 201610 yr The Guardian reporting that he flew back to Monaco earlier this week for an assessment on his thigh injury with a view to a potential return if he can cut short the loan agreement.
