July 30, 201510 yr Never been a fan of Di Maria. Hope we don't go after him. The whole of last season was an essay in a player being demotivated and uncomfortable. I hope he goes back to Europe tbh.
July 30, 201510 yr Di Maria is excellent player, enjoyed every time I watched him. But there's no point to buy him, there's no spot for him. We got a good team with awesome players.
July 31, 201510 yr IF he stays on his feet, and keeps performing, he'd be a good buy. £50m? I'm losing an idea of what's a fair price but that seems steep. £35-£40m? How do you think Utd are placed, pre-season, please? OK, deal! How do we make this happen? After having bought Depay, Darmian, Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger, I was very very confident but the last few weeks have been a bit unsettling. We seem to be selling one of two world class players whilst the other wants to leave and if we don't replace Di Maria, we'll be in a dangerous position of requiring Depay to be outstanding in his first season. We've been ok in our pre season - were good against barca and unlucky/poor defensively against PSG. We seem to be lacking upfront, so hopefully we can get Pedro or someone else to bolster the attack. Van Gaal also seems to be up to his usual shenanigans by playing Blind (a cdm/lb) at CB. He's also playing Depay at CAM whilst he has Mata (who's been very good) on the wing. Mental. The first game should be interesting as both of us have a very tough game in each other. How are you guys doing?
July 31, 201510 yr There are 20! = 2432902008176640000 permutations. Though if you consider real possibilities then they decrease considerably, e.g. the top 5 teams are pretty much given: 5! * 15! = 156920924160000. That said you probably have better chances on lottery unless you are uncannily good at estimating the min and max positions for each team. Yep, you can also anticipate that the promoted teams will finish amongst the bottom five, though even still you can't predict any of the orders so the odds are still very, very remote. But with a two pound entry fee I believe it is there's not much to lose, I guess. Edited July 31, 201510 yr by Teritus

July 31, 201510 yr Walcott signs new 4 deal with the goons. I love how they are using that as evidence they no longer sell their best players. Ignoring the fact their best players are no longer good enough to be wanted by the big clubs.
July 31, 201510 yr Couldn't think of anywhere to post this. Which Premier League Manager are you? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33609642

To be fair I'm not sure Walcott qualifies any more as one of their best players. I really though he'd leave this summer, really surprised not just that he stayed but also that he received such a big payhike.

Sometimes ruthless, sometimes democratic, you can make the tough decisions, even if occasionally you get them wrong. You are confident you know best – but you’ve not quite proven yourself at the very highest level yet."
July 31, 201510 yr YES! "Jose, is that you? You’re ruthless, cunning and won’t let anything get in the way of your team succeeding."

July 31, 201510 yr Poor results on the pitch, a loose cannon with the media - there’s a hint of John Carver about you. Your time in charge isn’t going to end well. Ouch!

July 31, 201510 yr I think I know the answer which has thrown me into the Brendan category, I regret that deeply.

Which Premier League Manager are you? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33609642 Quite happy with mine Solid, dependable and a safe pair of hands, you’re basically Tony Pulis. You might not be fashionable but you’re effective – mid-table beckons.
