It's like how he completely mismanaged playing Lambert. He was expecting both to play in the style Suarez did for Liverpool instead of adapting his approach to provide the type of building/service to get the best out of them.

It really was disgusting the way Rodgers threw Balotelli under the bus, and yet he has never been given any grief over it by the media.

That Carragher thing is out of context. He said in an article that Balotelli is a bargain, when comparing it to the fact that Fulham had just paid like £11 million for Ross McCormack. Which is probably fair enough.

 

And following on from Dkw, I'm pretty sure Gerrard threw him under the bus in a post match interview as well, can't remember the details though.

I tend to agree as Mario is a very troubled young man. If only it were possible to see him play minus the demons.

Yep he's the kind of player who puts me off the game. How Rodgers thought he could chance him was beyond me

Not quite, they were signing Remy, but he "failed" a medical. Then suddenly they signed balotelli. That went well.

They wanted Sanchez but he didn't want to go to Liverpool. So they went for Balo. Ouch.

Down to Rodgers' ego as much as anything.

And i never understood it to be honest. He was even more overrated than Hulk.

Balotelli is a real talent, I wanted him to success at Liverpool, but I think football is not the most important thing for him. He said to Milan that he has changed, who knows maybe he will recover himself. Wish him the best of luck, I really want to see the real Balotelli, that Jose grew and gave him chance in Inter.

 

The guy has always been trouble, i have never understood the love for him to be honest. Even Jose said he was unmanagable in his Inter days. I don't understand why anybody would wish him luck when he clearly doesn't really care all that much about what he does. The guy has talent, he just doesn't really give a sh*t, he's a waste of space.

Balotelli is a very entertaining lad. Wouldn't want him at Chelsea but he makes a headline. I don't mind football having characters like him. Zlatan as well. Fun to follow via media from a distance.

I don't get how he's tricked anyone into thinking he's anything special, the fact he's played for the big clubs he has is ridiculous tbh. He's a very average footballer with a huge ego, it's ok to have the ego when you can back it up but he can't.
