Silver lining, Abramavic gets pissed off and signs bale   but seriously bring in a goal threat, when hazard doesn't show up we are firing marshmallows at them

Edited by Oneclubinlondon

Wanted us to win, I'm disappointed with Hazard's performance, also with Willian's. A lot of mistakes, I hope we will start the PL with a better football. Remy did more than Falcao, Falcao showed nothing.

Anyways, we've a long season in front of us, this lose means nothing, only for Wenger and his club. We've have two meetings against them, Jose will prepare an answer!

Willian was the best player on the field for us. For 70 minutes of the game he was very dangerous going forward.

I don't think they were any better then us this game, they got a goal, while we didn't take out huge chances with Ramires and Hazard. I think Costa is way more important for us. then Sanchez is for Arsenal, without Costa we are left looking at Hazard to do almost everything.

I thought I'd add to the rest of the doom-mongering. This match is so meaningless I only just realised it was on

I don't get how you can be so relaxed at losing a cup to Arsenal? Personally I hate us losing to arsenal. Sorry if you guys think it's ok but I can't stand it.

Nobody likes it, they just have perspective.

If we win the league, a cup andor the CL, how big a deal will this be?

It's tradition, Chelsea are poor in preseason and win leagues. Arsenal look like they can beat anybody but fall away at some point in the season.

Chill brother! [emoji6]

Don't like losing, so I can't pretend this means nothing, but no one will remember this game at the end of the season. Somebody needs to tell this to Arsenal fans, who have really shown themselves to be a bitter bunch, booing Fabregas and our team. Bless their poor little soul, this means much more to them than it does to us. I'm going to enjoy beating them this season a little bit extra.

Regarding performances, Falcao looks like a lost cause already and we can't play three at the back.

Doubt very much anybody enjoyed it here, but it is pre seaso and we were actually the better team in the 2nd half and with slightly better finishing we'd have taken it to pens - at least.

The way you are posting it's as if we were bossed for 90 minutes and lost 5-0.

Can't wait for Costa to be back. Falcao and Rémy are utter crap.

Stop being ridiculous, Remy was very useful for us last season. It's 1 game at the start of a season, Arsenal were just a bit sharper than us today.

I'm gutted, not just for losing the shield but Wenger now has that monkey off his back, people can try to dismiss it all they wants but that was huge for him.

You know, Jose lost his unbeaten home record last season. Oh but he also has a PL Winners medal as a conciliation.

Perspective people....

I think our game changed when Oscar came on. He had a lot of space in the center and he used it properly. He created two great chances, his free-kick was pretty good. It was seen like he played Hazard's role.

Classy touch from mourinho that actually

Now who parks the bus, plays boring football and which manager has no class...f**king bitter rantings of serial losers amplified by the fact they look like they just won the word cup

Yes we lost to Arsenal, but in a game that had no real meaning, plus we did turn up second half and we were unlucky not to score, I thought we outplayed them in the 2nd half. It's unfortunate to lose, but there's no point getting too mad about it, I know I'm going to lose my hair this season at certain times, but I'll save it for the meaningful games.

Stop reading so much into a Community Shield match. Writing players off already is f**king embarassing. Win or lose, we werent arsed about today regardless what Jose says to the media.  It is a Glorified friendly. He turned up in a tracksuit like he was watching training.  It was a nothing game

Willian at 10 was the highlight of the game from our perspective. Zouma at left back was interesting, and i hope i never see that again. Overall, we were clearly still in pre-season mode, the game was horrendously slow, basic passes being missed etc. I think we will be much, much better in 2 weeks time with more fitness and match sharpness. Just hope we grind out wins in the first few games until we look fit and sharp.

Not going to pretend I dont care about losing today, but I wanted to win mainly because it was Arsenal, and not because there is a 'trophy' at stake

Agreed

Ok, I guess though you are starting to sound bitter...

Oh dear...

Just for the record, I'm sure Arsenal fans and the media are all saying how Wenger finally beat Mourinho, in a couple of months will people still that? He has still never beaten Mourinho when it matters, in the premier league.

these arse c**ts chanting boring boring even when the match's over, while they park the bus the whole second half

f**king hell hate this bunch of bitter delusional classless f**ks, can't wait for september 19 when we smash them in a game that actually means something

Anyone else thinks there's something going on behind the scenes at Chelsea? Mourinho's been wound up all preseason. I still think there's some lingering tension from that cech sale and he hasn't got over it yet.

Point 1..They were 10 days ahead of us in pre-season and we just flew back from tour.

Point 2..We may of won had we taken our chances

Point 3..We were marginally the better side second half

Point 4..The Jose record over Wenger had to come to an end sometime and I would rather today than in the league

Point 5..It's a wake up call to Jose and the board that we need a couple more in.

Just my view
