September 1, 201510 yr You're not wrong there mate, let's hope their hidden gems Hidden deep down inside, even from themselves?
September 1, 201510 yr Hidden deep down inside, even from themselves? Haha not that deep down bit closer to the surface preferably. The djibolodji bloke doesn't have a YouTube compilation over 4 minutes. Very dissappointing.
October 3, 201510 yr the silva-kdb-aguero combination in full effect today aguero might break 30+ PL goals easily this season
October 21, 201510 yr 5 goals 5 assists in 9 games. Incredible. Nothing short of what many of us expected him to do
October 22, 201510 yr When you're reinvesting that money into Championship level players it's a bit difficult to give yourself a big ol' pat on the back. I honestly had not heard of either of them until this morning. Unusual buys. I honestly had not heard of either of them until this morning. Unusual buys. 5 goals 5 assists in 9 games. Incredible. Kevin De Bruyne has 3 goals and 3 assists in the PL this season playing for Man City .. Riyad Mahrez of Leicester has 5 goals and 4 assists Based on the 3 posts you think that A) We should base football on stats and in that case Mahrez is a better player than De Bruyne B)We shouldn't buy players from the Championship even though Palace bought Ian Wright from the 9th tier and 500 goals later he is the leading goalscorer for Arsenal and Palace C)Chelsea should never buy players that people on this forum have never heard of (Drogba,Zola, Cech weren't exactly household names ) Yes De Bruyne looks like a good signing for City but I don't recall any of our supporters being disappointed when we should him
October 22, 201510 yr Author Ive also had enough of KDB watch. We all pay attention to football. We are all aware of our rivals exploits. Let it go
October 22, 201510 yr Ive also had enough of KDB watch. We all pay attention to football. We are all aware of our rivals exploits. Let it go Agreed, it's f**king ridiculous, it's already worse than the Sturridge and Lukaku threads we had.
October 22, 201510 yr Agreed, it's f**king ridiculous, it's already worse than the Sturridge and Lukaku threads we had. Exactly. It's not like he contributed something great to us. The boy couldn't even show some sense of resilience to fight for a place here.
October 22, 201510 yr The boy couldn't even show some sense of resilience to fight for a place here. I was a firm believer in this mantra for a while but with rumours of Hazard looking for a way out too, you've got to start to question if Mourinho only has one style of man managment and perhaps he could have adopted different approach to get the best from different players.

Good point. Well, I think both parties have to compromise in such cases, but the manager must have a bigger say. Having different man-management styles is good but having them for a few specific players ("star players") can kill the overall morale of the team. I don't get why KDB, one of the most talented players we had at that time, couldn't push himself harder when the rest could do it. It's that prima-donna behaviour that I'm unhappy with.
October 22, 201510 yr It's a mentality thing. Some players respond well to a kick up the arse, others need an arm around the shoulder. It doesn't make the latter a worse player just a different person. Everybody is like that. I bet Fergie treated the Cantona super ego very differently from the reliable and disciplined Giggs or Hughes. Edited October 22, 201510 yr by TheFunkeyGibbon

He did though, Jose even commented on it and said he was going to reward him was a run of games which never came to fruition.

The same way Baba, RLC etc must not be 'pushing' themselves enough to replace Ivanovic, Fabregas etc?
October 22, 201510 yr If RLC were to leave Chelsea and become a superstar elsewhere, I have no doubts in my mind a similar story would appear about him not being patient or pushing himself enough.

The Mahrez comparison isn't even a comparison, KDB has been delivering consistently for two years and he was doing before returning to Chelsea on loan. When the best example of a top club signing a Championship level player was over twenty years ago and before the formation of the Premier League perhaps you need to reassess the argument you are trying to make.
