John Stones

Featured Replies

Mohd tagaya? He is as itk as I am. Also said Pogba is 90% done. He knows sh*t pedro was a lucky guess after the media reported it. Ignore him

He appears to know Jose well, or something. He also has pictures with several personalities from the sport.

Anyone can take a picture with players or managers, etc... if they ask and the person doesn't mind. Doesn't mean they know them,.

I read that now Everton wants no less than £45mil for Stones.

Jt's red card did put the value up again then.

If Zouma or Cahill gets sent off on the weekend then up to 50mill it goes lol.

Assuming that's true and there's no add ons (on top of that fee) I'd still hope the club put in another bid - I think we'd have to pay a premium to prevent him joining United anyway...

If United offer Jonny Evans, offer Cahill and get it done.

It seems like that. They know we have known knife on out throat and there is not too many options left for us.

I've read some people talking about £37mil + Ramirez which seems crazy but that just stupid talk.

No stones am guessing no new centre back. We go with 6 defenders.

We should have been in for Antonio Rudiger, but Roma have taken him on loan, to be frank I'm over this, Zouma is better and we payed a fraction, the only major plus I see is him being homegrown, and it's not worth getting bent over a barrel by these moaning scousers for...just my thoughts on the matter.

Zouma's great, but I think he's JT's long term successor. We need a long term successor for Carvalho/Cahill.. if £45m is the cost then so be it.

Don't know about anyone else but I get the feeling you don't like this guy.

Correct he is full of sh*t. As is sergi dominguez on twitter. Not itk but try to be. Throw enough sh*t some will stick.

Much as the guy is annoying as f**k at times, if Rob Beasley said the talks were over or whatever, id believe it.

Not a fan who has had a few pics with people, and a trolling twitter account

we may as well pay an extra 10-15 and try buy varane. dealing with everton is like trying to explain offside to a woman - it's near on impossible!

What makes you think varane iz more obtainable than stones?

Id be interested in knowing why 40 or 50m wouldnt help improve your squad. You may be confused about how money works

Okay sure so we could have spent half that fee on Pedro then? I've already explained it -- you all seem more keen on cheap shots than actually reading and considering what I'm saying.

Let's say for the sake of argument our first 11 is all 7/10 players. Snide digs about us aside it's not an unreasonable assessment. Some positions are better than others obviously but it's a decent average.

8/10+ players almost always want CL.

Money is therefore not the limiting factor; "status" (for lack of a better term) is the issue.

Pedro was sold for the kind of money almost any Prem team could afford. Certainly the top half. Money was irrelevant.

As for this specific deal first off you have to consider the delta. If Stones is good enough for Chelsea to pay 40m+ then he's a Champions League quality player.

So we lose a CL player.

Can we sign a CL player to replace him? Maybe. Probably not.

We're having a nightmare convincing the maniac who owns Dynamo to sell us Yarmolenko. He's already refused to sell to Stoke because they weren't a prestigious enough club. Stoke had the money.

Again. Money is not the limiting factor in the Yarmalenko deal. We have the money. We have to convince them to sell him and him to sign and so far it hasn't gone well.

I guess you could argue if we had 40m extra we could horrifically overpay for people to get them to come here. Hardly seems like a sustainable strategy destined for success though.

If we constantly lose CL level players we can't replace them with CL talent. We sign Europa-level talent and they sit on our bench.

I'm struggling to see how losing a CL player and replacing him with 40m of Europa players to sit on our bench is making us better.

If you disagree then let me know your thoughts. I'm just telling you our perspective on things. We'd rather have CL players than money we can't spend on CL players.

If Everton finish fourth I'll never talk about football again, not a peep, didn't you finish 11th, mate palace were above you..you're bordering complete dillusion, and if you think you can't improve the squad with 40 million you're not very clever ffs Naismith starts for you who for example can be replaced by yarmoulenko for 14 million....fourth place, poor simple lads

Two years ago we finished with 72 points which is a point total good enough for fourth almost every single year. Prior to that we finished sixth two years in a row.

I admit it's unlikely but is it really "complete delusion" to suggest we could get a similar points total to one we had just two years ago? I mean is that really so incredibly ludicrous? Again, admittedly unlikely ... but you reacted like I'm a Bournemouth fan talking about fourth.

Also Naismith doesn't start mate. Hasn't started a single game all season. Has been a late sub.

Yup and stop acting like they know how their board thinks cause they don't

We now have a board member on video saying he won't be sold so we really lucked out with that coincidence.

I like Stones and think he'd do well with us but remember how we all laughed when PSG majorly overpaid for David Luis?

Hopefully that won't come back to haunt us. It's got to a point where most of us would just have us pay and get it done with and the other half want to tell Everton to keep him.

I think anything over £40mil is too much.

What makes you think varane iz more obtainable than stones?

not saying he is, but we should be trying if we want a cb. there is also laporte who has been mentioned a few times and his release clause is around the 40 million euro mark, so it's either go for him, go all out for varane or offer everton the big fee they want. zouma can already be mentioned amongst those for, and for me the list in terms of potential and quality right now would go:

varane>laporte>zouma>stones

we get one of the first two and we have a great cb partnership. 3 out of 4 of those are french, so either varane & zouma or laporte & zouma could communicate together perfectly.

If you were managed by the FSW and José came knocking, wouldn't you do everything in your power to make the transfer happen?

again, what if green and earl want to sell him or any other board members you may have?  and, what on earth did those fans expect jon wood to say, considering the question and the fact he had a mobile phone camera on him?

Did they honestly think he'd say "yeh hes off".   He was never ever going to say anything other than what he did say.

It's like when players are asked "do you want so and so to stay?"  They will never say "nope, hes sh*te"   PR answers
