Yes You are right ..that's transfers.... In this case it has been openly discussed in the media on the radio on Sky at every opportunity its blatant tapping up forced down our throats(In our case being Everton fans) Not here to chastise you...you have millions and we have zero....we will just have to see what happens...

Wait a f**king minute. "discussed in the media on the radio on Sky at every opportunity". That's not tapping up blatant or otherwise. That's just the media endlessly speculating as the media is prone to do. Nothing to do with Chelsea FC. Tapping up means that an illegal approach was made to the player by the club. Or are you going to tell me that Chelsea and Chelsea alone are responsible not only for what Sky and TalkSport choose to discuss, but the way in which they choose to discuss it?

If you're going to have a go at the media, that's fine by me. But at least get your terminology right. The media can bullsh*t till the cows come home, it still doesn't equate to tapping up, which implies that the club have acted wrongly, and that is exactly what Martinez has been implying..

There has been no illegal approach. Chelsea haven't broken any rules. The media continue to speculate and to offer opinions. Some say he should go to Chelsea, others reckon he'd be better off staying with Everton. Stil others would have you beleive that his best bet is a move to Man U.

See what I'm saying? It's the media you should be annoyed at. I don't expect you to admit to being pissed off with your own manager, but if you take a step or two backwards and think about the situation, think about what he's been doing to stir things up, then you might just realise that Martinez himself is as much to blame for what he refers to as the "circus" as anyone else, maybe even more so.

I wouldn't want to sign a player who acted anything like this, gladly I think Stones is nothing less than a class act and wouldn't even dream of doing anything so unprofessional and frankly ridiculous.

Yes he is a class act and you want him...but err may not get him.....time will tell.... don't get all hissy just cant get your own way all the time guys.. act  with dignity   if he goes to you cool it is what it is..if any of you are coming up next week to goodison your more than welcome to a pint or two...Ill be going to your place as my son loved going there last year...trar

I assume you quoted the wrong post? If not, what are you talking about? What is "hissy" about what I said?, possibly the least "hissy" post on the last few pages.

Sorry mate,

Just kinda took a random quote as a bit tired,  been working then going to see us play away tonight ......no offence meant.....cheers

The Everton fans crying about loyalty must have been riddled with guilt when they poached little John Stones from his quiet life in Yorkshire a few years ago.

I also assume that if de Gea, Thiago Silva and Pogba tomorrow declared that they wanted a new challenge and Everton was the only club for them that the same Everton fans would demand the club immediately reject the notion out of loyalty to Tim Howard, Jagielka and McCarthy.

Forced labor is ridiculous.

Well that talk of Bruce buck and bill kenwright talking to keep relations good between the clubs appears to have failed.

Martinez has slandered our club time and again. Calling what we have done illegal yet was fine for him and his club one year ago.

Any further business better our clubs looks unlikely.

Next time they want an Atsu type loan they can go do one. Martine has fallen far and fast in my estimations. He's inhabiting the place managers like Wenger, Rafa and David O'Leary belong. The tossers club I think is a effective title for said place. Piers Morgan is the bouncer.

Martinez remains adamant that Everton will not sell Stones to Chelsea, despite his written request to go.

“We will reject it in the morning and get on with it,” said the Everton boss. “Clearly, we have got to a point now that, in football and life, sometimes money can’t buy everything.

"That’s going to be a very strong statement at Everton"

What a sanctimonious c**t!?!

And you know that if a club of our stature came calling for him Everton wouldn't see him for dust.

You wont offer that though...you offered err 20m then 25m come on ...luiz went for 50m ? I as a evertonian don't want him to go ... we will see... kenwright will be getting whats coming to him shortly ....

Its money money that talks....in this case it just might not..

Correct me if mistaken, but that 50 million transfer was of a player who had played in the finals of and won: The FA cup, The Champions League, and The Europa League. Additionally they had won numerous titles in Portugal and happened to be a first XI main stay of one of the best international teams in the world.

And he was still over priced.

So if you want to compare Luiz's fee to what Everton are asking for Stones, why don't you go ahead and just tell us exactly what Stones has acheived. I mean, I seriously would not be surprised to hear Luiz has more starts for Brazil than Stones has for Everton.

Ps. Just wanted to point out that Everton's best player last night is a 21 year old player who wasu r he'd from Barcelona for 4.2 million quid. Two seasons back, Stones was a newly purchased Everton player. A mere 3 million. Everton fans are right; there is absolutely no way they could improve their squad with the 30 plus million they'd get from a 35 million fee.

You see these are the words that piss me off...poach...

While Everton have been determined to resist Chelsea's attempt to poach the left-back, it seems the Premier League champion's persistence could start to pay off.

While we are apparently 'poaching' Everton are 'robbing' and 'reneging'....which just about sums up how this are up there in Merseyside.

And The Sun report the Toffees have now offered Barnsley a settlement figure below the original agreement, indicating they are willing to sell Stones to Chelsea.

However, it seems the lower figure – said to be around £2.5m – has been dismissed by the Oakwell club.

I don't see anything wrong with what Martinez has said, I thought he's handled it pretty well. Bit far with the authorities line but overall it was good comment.

Everton remain confident they will sign Romelu Lukaku this summer, with Roberto Martinez telling fans: "Of course we'll get him".

Everton have made little secret of their desire to see Lukaku playing at Goodison Park next term following a season in which he scored 15 goals in 31 Premier League appearances. It was when questioned by a fan during Everton's trip to Thailand that Martinez revealed his optimism.

Ian Atkins, Everton's head of recruitment, echoed those sentiments on Saturday evening when he told talkSPORT: "Hopefully things can be sorted out, I think he’s quite settled in his mind that he wants to come to Everton, and hopefully he’ll be pulling on our blue shirt again next term."

You dumb c**ts at Everton, fans, board, coaches, everyone seem to forget you did the SAME THING with Lukaku last summer when he was a CHELSEA PLAYER UNDER CONTRACT. So everytime your little manager opens his mouth he sounds even more pathetic and like a tw@t. They're plenty more quotes but those were the first I found.

Maybe because he did the same thing last summer with Lukaku and now complains about it? Not sure why that's hard to understand.

The 'money can't buy everything' line was a load of f**king bollocks. So in this situation Everton are the small fish, what happens when it's Everton trying to buy a top player from a club in a lesser position than them? Will he spout that line again? Will he f**k.

He's a hypocritical cry baby.
