I think its more of a reflection on Kompany's form this season, He has been an absolute rock. I reckon if he is out injured for a while Mangala and Otamendi will get found out. (Similar to the Terry situation with some of our other CB's)

Time will tell but Mangala looks the real deal. He came with an outstanding reputation and looked awful but that happens a lot in the Premier League. He's finding his feet now and looks absolutely solid. Otamendi needs no introduction obviously.

At the start, yes. Then he got better towards the end of the season, which is when Kompany went from bad to worse.

Certainly is as I suspect we may have missed the boat on this one. If he continues to play anything like today there'll be a couple more clubs interested in him next summer and my money is on City paying over 50 million for him.

 

We have to take encouragement that he handed in a transfer request to join us.

Nobody else in England is going after him except for United. Arsenal wont pay, Liverpool are out automatically, he wont be 1st choice at City.

United are most likely, in fact he would probably fit LVGs system well. However he's already bought a few defenders and their picking up some steam.

Dunno, just have suspicion its going to be tough to get much more than 40m for him when clubs can buy other foreign players for much less and most of the big clubs are already stocked at the back

Perhaps. But I think this transfer is also dependent on JT's contract extension.

 

If JT still can't get enough games till the end of the season, then I can't see him getting a new contract for next season. If that is so, the club will most probably go all out to sign Stones in hopes of moulding him into the next JT and to satisfy the homegrown rule.

 

But who knows what might happen.
