Chelsea Vs Arsenal 19th September 12:45GMT

Ian Wright didn't know Ozil was playing lololol.

And now BT have taken a dodgy screen grab focusing on what they think are scratch marks on whatshisface's neck from Costa.

I have seriously not made that up.

I thought they said there were scratch marks on Costa?

That was sooo much better. They actually looked like a team again. All the out of form players looked more themselves and the whole team seemed happier. Not much has been made of Mourinhos dad dying but It has to have impacted him and could translate into the team.

Big up for Kurt Zouma, I hope we saw the birth of a new Chelsea legend today, the joy in that goal...

Let's give a bit more opportunity to the youngsters and get a couple of breakthrough seasons.

I thought it was the other way round? Did I completely mishear?? My bad, maybe I'm not telling the truth :/

Much more solid display. We defended as a team, pressed well from the front and also made sure we kept two tight lines when Arsenal had the ball.

The work of Pedro and Hazard in particular meant we weren't exploited wide. Only once did I see Pedro not get back. Ivanovic gave him an earful after the move and he didn't make the same mistake again.

Sanchez disappeared in a big game once again, maybe he wanted to keep Remodez mate Ozil company. Such a spineless team created by a spineless manager.

No doubt the headlines will be all about Mike Dean but he was a disgrace on both sides. Obviously the first red was scandalous but Cazorla's was deserved. We also should have had a stonewall penalty and another possible pen for the foul on Costa. Other than that in the first 45 we were battering them, I have no doubts that even 11v11 we would have still gone on to win, they could barely get the ball for about 10 minutes towards the end of the half

I dont think desailly was as good as zouma at 20. great player

Imagine scoring a goal for Chelsea, at home, against Arsenal, aged 20, wowser!

A big relief to win this match! I know the media and Chelsea-haters will claim we only won because Arsenal had a player sent off just before half time but we were all over them after about the 10 minute mark of the game so I think we were going to inevitably score one way or another.

I love Costa's passion and while he can be an intense player and his attitude may overstep the mark at times I think he's a warrior that every club requires for their team to be successful so the positives clearly outweigh the negatives when it comes to his attitude and desire for the team. In terms of playing ability his touch on the ball concerns me but he still has a natural ability to find the net at any moment so he cannot be written off.

I absolutely loved Zouma's game! He was my man of the match. Jose placed heavy faith on him to get the job done in defence and he repaid him in the best way possible by defending beautifully and scoring a wonderful header that took the sting out of Arsenal's game. I can see the comparisons between Zouma and Marcel Desailly even if it's still early days to make such judgments and comparisons at this point in Zouma's career. He has future captain material written all over him and with John Terry mentoring him he couldn't be in better hands.

I've under appreciated Oscar in the past but he made our midfield look sharp today. Fabregas and Hazard played good games (a far cry from the last few weeks) so that was a real positive but there's still plenty of improvement left in these boys. I hope Pedro's wayward kicking at goal was an aberration and he'll get back to his best sooner rather than later.

Very pleasing victory by the boys and I feel like the season has now started! The first five games in my mind was a sign of a team who was lacking hunger and motivation after last season's long campaign and in the process they were not 100% physically fit after a late pre-season start, but after much criticism and concern the boys have finally stood up and are ready to get this campaign rolling. In terms of winning the EPL title, the pressure is off us now as no one expects it to happen but I can't wait to see us chase it down to the best of our ability hopefully.

There's a lot to be happy about today and now I'm looking forward to watching Arsenal Fan TV now!

Jose with a killer post match presser.

:laugh2:  :laugh2:  :laugh2:

Dammit, missed it, what did he say?

Decent display and some improvement from the out of form players, thought Ivan looked better and Jose's selection again vindicated.

The doubters in this thread with the predictions of the upcoming defeat and the pokes as usual at the managers selection really should learn that the man knows his stuff.

Happy with that and thought Oscar was superb again, 68 minutes and a nice little rest to watch the end of the game, Terry looked happy enough with Zouma and Jose so I'd imagine he realises he'll be rotated a bit more this season but is still important to the team.

Love Jose's comment just now about how he's played Arsenal about 16 times and only once they didn't moan and he thinks it's because they may have won that game! !

Jose trolling Arsenal and Arsene Wenger since 2004! :laugh2:

Jose not admitting anything on Costa, accusing Arsenal of moaning - poor class. I know he's lying (as he admitted to doing for Drogba once) and why he's doing it, but it still grates me he denies the obvious. Still, I'd rather win than be liked.
