We need squad depth as well as mailed on first teamers. Keep Cesc and Oscar

Hope there's something to this story. James Rodriguez would be a definite upgrade on Pedro and Willian. This boy is fast, he can cross, he can shoot, his assist record is good, plus he can score goals. Which none of our attacking midfielders save for Hazard seem capable of.

In the present market, 60m sounds like a gamble worth taking.

Honestly, having Traore here wouldn't have been so bad.

He could have added depth for both strike and the wings in addition to James.

We've never been able to replace Lampard, we sorely miss the goals he used to get from midfield. James Rodriguez would be a much needed addition in the squad.

Good thing about James, on top of his talent, is he is ready to show the world how good he is. Same case with Cesc when he was sitting Barca bench.

We have Kante, Matic, Cesc, Mikel, Nat, RLC, Pasalic and "a little diamond" (LOL). Honestly think we are set for a season without european football. Another would just be Overkill.

okay so minus the centre mid we would still be having to spend near on 150 million on 3 players which i am not sure roman is happy spending. there's talk of a striker too.

I kept Oscar at the end of the list for that reason. For me, he should not have been in the squad at the start of the season. 

I totally agree that there is some deadwood. But also say that CM is no where near a priority as a LB, CB and some world class player like James.

even without Ronaldo and Benzema, James still cant get in the Real Madrid team, even Asensio and Kovacic are ahead of him in the pecking order now, and probably Isco as well.

Kovacic and Asensio were picked up to the starting lineup before James Rodriguez. He lost his spot in the first XI last season, I don't think he is willing to stay there. Modric is suspended, Benzema is injured, Ronaldo injured and they still have Isco and Lucas Vazquez on the bench. There is no place for him, I think there is a chance that if we will push harder for him, we will sign him.
