February is going to be a tough month. We have this City tie just after we play PSG but on the other hand City play this cup tie against us in a week that sees them away to Dynamo Kiev on the following Wednesday night and then go to Wembley for the League Cup final on the Sunday.  There may be some interesting decisions taken about the City lineup with all that going on.

Id fancy Guus to outsmart Pellegrini in this one

Its a big week for us but a bigger week for city, its a shame there UCL opponent isnt stronger this time.

I'm really worried about what happens if they lose. My expectations are pretty low considering the 3-0 in August that could easily have been 6-0 without Begovic's great performance. 

 

If they lose this one, then their main ambition for the season is over. They'll know they'll be somewhere mid-table. The difference between mid-table positions is trivial for these players. It'll be very difficult to be motivated and give 110% every day in training and every game in order to finish 12th instead of 13th. 

 

Not to mention, a lot of them will be more focused on transferring to another club than giving their best at Chelsea. 

City playing a weakened side is a ploy to move the tie, one that the fa look really weak for if they fall for it.

City the solution is simple. Kiev are a poor team, we know we played them off the park twice and we have been garbage most of the season.

So play your reserves in that game, and then thrash them in the second leg. Simple, so stop moaning!

I dont know what their griping about, most clubs have had this situation regards games before & after CL games, our cup tie couldnt be played on the saturday anyway because Fulham are also at home v Charlton that day.

See city only taken 3k allocation, poor show, but city never travelled well here as far as I can remember, only up until recently they only would bring 1500, bit different to what we've taken up their in past.

To be honest i dont blame them, they have their cup final the following week where they'll bring 30,000+ down.
