January 31, 201610 yr When we bought in Benitez i didn't think we could go any lower........well, this is much lower. I don't think i can forgive them for this to be honest. Terry has been part of Chelsea as long as i have been a fan, to see him being waved off like this is not something i think i can ever get over. Ash... Lampard... Mourinho... Now Terry. The board never fail to disappoint.
January 31, 201610 yr It's actually my 30th birthday aswell today. 5-1 win, and the day was going well until heard this.
January 31, 201610 yr Dan Levene reckons Terry heard via a phone call with his agent. .......... If that's true, we are a joke of a club.
January 31, 201610 yr Although the club hasn't announced anything, the could be facing severe backlash from the fans. By the looks of things, they don't give a sh*t what we fans want. If they cared about what we wanted, they wouldn't be making the decisions they always seem to make.

January 31, 201610 yr We've faced bankruptcy, we were bought by an owner with resources beyond our wildest dreams. We've sacked managers, hired interim managers. We've signed great players, we've signed terrible players. We've spent millions, we've received millions. We've taken on loans, we've given them out. We've been world beaters, we've been atrocious. Our board is a merry-go-round and we've been slated by everyone for one thing or another. We've won everything there is and we've all been on this emotional roller coaster together. Together? That's us, the fans. And JT. No one else. That's the bond, no one has been the solid foundation of this club in that length of time along with the fans. He has always been our voice on the pitch, no one can replace that. No one will see that much of a change at this club ever again. I would have loved for him to lead the first team out at the new stadium.
January 31, 201610 yr If we do not feel he is good enough for a new deal, why is he still starting every game? Yet Cahill, now 3rd choice, gets a new deal. Brana, who has been garbage until the past 3 or so weeks, got a new deal. Exactly this! If he's good enough to start week in week out, he's good enough for another contract.
January 31, 201610 yr Levane was probably just making assumptions ah man Edited January 31, 201610 yr by MANoWAR
January 31, 201610 yr Well I've been away for a while and wasn't planning on coming back yet but I had to post regarding this, it's a very sad day. Terry is the last remnant of that greatest Chelsea side we ever had. Hes for me the greatest CB to ever play in the Premier League and certainly the best I have ever seen. I knew this day would com eventually but I feel like this is a season to soon. It really feels like the club is looking to build a fresh team but unless we somehow win the Champions League then I don't see this team challenging for major honours for a long time as I feel we need the CL to attract top players. With JT gone and the club in the position it's in this is truly the end of an era.
January 31, 201610 yr It's actually my 30th birthday aswell today. 5-1 win, and the day was going well until heard this. Oh lordy, many happy returns to you.

January 31, 201610 yr Cue the great defender hunt of 2016!! Still in shock but it was always going to happen at some point. Greatest captain this club has seen or will ever see. I'm sure the club has a plan to bring him back into the fold once his playing days are over. JT will return!!!

January 31, 201610 yr Emenalo will be chased out of the club; he won't be here next season. This decision had to come at some point, but timing is bizarre to say the least. There is already so much hurt among some of the fans (if not majority) about the JM situation, that you really don't need to do this now. He still wants to play; let him! He has shown absolutely NO signs of losing form, and this in a season where players have been dropping like flies all around him. It shows the top at this club really has little clue what is going on. Even if they deemed it to be a good business decision, you at least wait until the end of the season. We're in our worst league position in years ... you need players like Terry to keep things together! JT himself has said he wanted to know his contract situation in January. The board would probably have taken the cowards way out otherwise and left it till the season had finished.
January 31, 201610 yr I am surprised that there's no role for Terry at the club even (assuming he'd be happy to) on the basis of his playing fewer games. Hopefully he'll have a non-playing role at the club when his playing career ends.

I'm sure the club has a plan to bring him back into the fold once his playing days are over. JT will return!!! With the way this club handles things i wouldn't bank on it. They clearly think nothing of the legends of this club. If the board felt anything for the club and it's fans they wouldn't be making the decision's they have been making in recent years.

January 31, 201610 yr You know the feeling, the best holiday you ever had, that last day sadness that your'e at the end of something special. This season is as if he's been bitten by a mosquito and got malaria on his way to the airport.
January 31, 201610 yr Totally f##king disgusted with this decision u dont treat club legends like this...utd kept giggs Everton still got duncan ferguson probarbly loads more examples of clubs being loyal to their legends but oh no not us we f##k them off out without a thanks or kiss me arse!!!!
January 31, 201610 yr Worst decision we have ever made. My favourite Chelsea player leaving when he still has a lot to offer? It can't get worse!
January 31, 201610 yr I don't have many opportunities to go to games and such, but does anyone have any ideas if there's anything that can be done to voice massive disgust and anger over some of the actions the club has taken in regards to recent memory, back from the Lampard treatment to this.
