I think it will be tight in the second leg but this will give us a lot of confidence. Our passing was excellent. Just need to take our chances and be ruthless.

Probably because most of their players were rested for their last league game. And they had a stonger bench so were able to bring on fresh legs.

I thought 3-1 before the game, so I'll take 2-1, not a bad result, obviously though we have to start quick in the second leg and we concede another one then it's going to be very tough. Just realised the other game was Benfica v Zenit. What a god awful match-up.

Not too disappointed with the result, disappointed to have conceded after all of that hard work though.

I'm happy enough with that, mainly because we actually had a go at them at times tonight and created chances rather than just sit back for the whole game (though we did that too). 2 soft goals cost us tonight but we have an excellent chance in the 2nd leg, with JT available hopefully to help shore up the backline.

I think people may be taking this the wrong way. While I don't feel the performance was great, I also feel that both of their goals could have been easily dealt with. I'm not saying we played shockingly

Willian should start at number 10 ahead of Oscar all the time. He's so hard to catch when he turns and starts driving through the middle.

Didn't even think of JT. Branna-Cahill was very good.

We can beat them at Stamford Bridge. They've played well in the second half and still won by only 1. The good thing is that we need to start with an attacking attitude.

It's no surprise that the players were tired. Look at the schedule they've had and the mental exhaustion. PSG has played even more games in a short time, but they were against weaker sides with absolutely zero pressure.

 

The human body has limits, even the huge outliers.
