There's a big difference in that Pep actually wanted to stay at the club.

I'm not a specialist but I'm sure if I worked for such a big world known company and I slagged them off in the press at every opportunity, wouldnt admit my errors and carried on making the same errors, also made decisions in my work which would effectively piss of my employers then they would be pissed of with me.

Guardiola wanted to stay, because the board help him, not working against him, and in our club is more likely the second one ....

Also he get what he want for players and he have almost all the power and they back him 100%.

If he was here, he would have done exactly what Conte do and will wanted way out.

But Pep didn't moan about his players or the Man City board and there was something in the works. I agree that their board backed him afterwards but they can afford to do that because they have money and the pull of Guardiola as much as I hate to admit it.

Guardiola's moans can be ridiculous but he didn't make sly digs at City's board or their purchases when things didn't go his way and he at least tried to change the way they play after a poor season. Will he win the Prem again next season though? Who knows.

This season Conte grew a big head and kept on falling out with players and the board then that ridiculous spat with Jose before a poor second half of the season of which he barely tried any new formations or tactics when his system was found out. Personally, I thought dropping Hazard against Huddersfield was the stupidest decision he could've made when we desperately needed 3points and nothing to lose by playing him. That was the last straw for me. Us winning the FA Cup was great but then the performance wasn't exactly the 2012 CL Final. We won because of a combination of Utd being sh*ttier than us, Conte played ultra-defensive football on the day and the players actually giving a damn after that poor showing against Newcastle.

Pep didn't have to moan, because he DID get what he wanted. You can say the older players Conte wanted would have been sh*t, but players like Lukaku and Sandro are 100% Conte players. And they would have been wonderful to have. Instead we got Emerson and Giroud in January (while we should have bought Llorente in the summer). 

Conte said things he shouldn't have said. But who of you haven't mentioned the quality/depth of our squad is below our standard. And when he adresses the problem he gets stick from the fans ? And how would all of you feel when you've just won the competition in your first year, and yet you get 0 backing from the board. 

Exactly Geert. Everyone is allowed to sook about the squad bar the one bloke who's reputation actually relies on working with it.

The way Conte went about his public moaning will have effected the squads performance though and that is the issue, if he had moaned once or twice while the window was open and then got on with his job that woild have been fine but he carried it on throughout the season acted like a sour puss which would have negatively affected the squad and is a large part of why we played so poorly imo. If he had put his head down we still had a squad capable of performing much better and a season of top 3 and an FA cup would have been a hell of a lot better for all parties.

He wanted his own number 2 to replace Holland instead of following the usual protocol of having a HG club based number 2, and was backed.

He wanted Morata for a club record fee, and Baka for the 3rd highest, and was backed.

Yes, they could have done more, but to suggest he got absolutely no backing is laughable and even if that was true, it doesn't excuse the abysmal job he did from January onwards.

People always say he wasn't backed with the Sandro signing and had a sh*t replacement in Emerson. If you think Sandro for £60+ would have been a better signing than Emerson for £20m you need to give your head a wobble. We gave him one of the best young LB's in the world for 1/3 of the price and it took Conte 4 months to even play him even though he was match fit. Another act of Stubborness from Conte that came back to bite him.

I don't think Emerson is crap, but he was signed at the end of January, after 2 making appearances for Roma. If that was the backup to Sandro it was 6 months too late and he wasn't fit, because Roma wasn't playing him either.

Conte also said Emenalo was a key member of the club and is sorely missed, do you believe him there aswell?  It's funny you ignore this when i call you up on it, because it will result in a comic backtrack from you either way.

For Matic always would have a place. We played 3-5-2 this season a lot, so he would be perfect in that formation. And Fabregas also played a lot of games, if Matic was here, Fabregas places would be on the bench.

 

Mourinho also blamed the board last season he was at here. Ancelotti also said he is only a coach, he is not a manager, and hes job is to train the players ....
