He cost us a top 4 spot being spiteful and vengeful towards the club and certain players and I'm afraid that is not only unprofessional but shows a lack of respect towards the club and it's fans. Loyalties? Has nothing to do with that.....

Going uncontactable from your employers for 10 days when your needed is horrendous behavior, if i did that i wouldn't come back to a job and if i took them to court demanding a pay off i would have got laughed at. Ofcourse it's not definitely true (were find out either way once court precedings get under way), but if it is then i have no sympathy with him whatsoever , sorry.

Oh no I get your point my man......but I doubt Conte would do that knowing the grudge going around. My point is, lets finish this sh*t and move on......everybody and their dog knew Conte was a goner......yet we f**ked it up badly.
July 20, 20187 yr Agreed. No idea why we have to invite these kind of shenanigans on. Pay the man what he is owed and be done with it. For all the issues, he picked us out of the doldrums and won two trophies, one of which was a PL against all the odds.
July 21, 20187 yr If Conte really had the chance of another job then Chelsea would have let him go to avoid the pay off. There were clearly no clubs interested in playing 9 at the back, hence why Conte stayed at the club. Fair enough to sue us for the £9m compensation but anything over that is ridiculous. Just greedy. Hope he doesn't get a penny now.

No hatred for the guy, but a change was needed.
July 24, 20187 yr This will certainly hurt his chance to sue us for loss of future earnings if he walks straight into another job.
July 24, 20187 yr He's suing us because of the timing of his dismissal, after the summer rather than before. Wonder what Gattuso makes of that?
July 24, 20187 yr AC Milan are in a bit of a mess nowadays aren’t they? Long way away from the Shevchenko, Maldini, Prilo team they had. Where did it all go so wrong?

Maybe Don Antonio can bring the glory back, but it will be hard. Just think if Don Antonio didn't like our transfer policy for him, he will despise what will happen to him at Milan. July 24, 20187 yr It will be interesting to see what he can do at Milan. If he didn't like the way Chelsea or Juve backed him in the transfer window then it'll be interesting how he handles Milan. Aren't they in some financial trouble, or am i mistaking them for another team in Italy. Anyway, best of luck to the Italian genius.

Milan would probably need a 2/3 years for a Scudetto anyway even with Conte's remarkable skill of fixing clubs in crisis, so he will be fine then while he's "firefighting" against the odds. It's once he's made it up the mountain and needs to think up ways of staying there he starts causing problems. Edited July 24, 20187 yr by Argo

The only loyalty in football is from the fans. Managers and players are merely ships in the night. I couldn’t believe the naivety of some fans regarding possibly our greatest ever player Super Frankie when he went to City ( scored against us), and was labelled a turncoat. He’s a professional footballer for .... sake.

July 25, 20187 yr Frank will always be Super Frank to all Chelsea supporters.......a genuine Chels soldier.
July 25, 20187 yr Loyalties, a funny thing. Us fans tend to stick with the same club yet for footballers it is different they need to earn a living. If they are not recognised by their club manager it puts them into a difficult position. I think it is interesting once they no longer need to earn a living from football to hear what they have to say.

I've always loved how many of our ex-players come out after they retire and say we're the club they connect with the most and support, even if they've moved around during their careers.
July 26, 20187 yr AC Milan Sporting Director Leonardo has come out against speculation about firing Gattuso & replacing him with Conte"I hear talk of Conte, but this is normal. We are in the middle of the market and there is a top manager unemployed. No one [from the club] has ever spoken to Conte. There is Gattuso, who has grown a lot and we are going forward with him."
November 6, 20187 yr https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/7670111/chelsea-feud-antonio-conte-8-7m-damages-11-3m-pay-off/ Chelsea feud with Antonio Conte deepens with ex-boss demanding £8.7m damages IN ADDITION to £11.3m pay-off Conte was axed by the Blues 55 days after the end of last season - with a big fall-out following the Italian's departure By Sean Gallagher 6th November 2018, 1:30 pm Updated: 6th November 2018, 1:31 pm ANTONIO CONTE is suing Chelsea for £8.7m - on top of the £11m he still wants for the last year of his contract, according to reports. The Italian, who won the Premier League and FA Cup during a two-year spell in charge at Stamford Bridge, was axed just 55 days after the end of last season. A bitter fall-out has ensued since with that showing no signs of coming to a halt anytime soon, report Gazetta dello Sport. The Italian publication claim that Conte is locked in a legal battle with the Blues, not only over the £11.3m he's owed for the final year of his contract - but also as much as £8.7m in damages. Conte was rather bizarrely in charge for the first day of pre-season training, before Roman Abramovich finally pulled the trigger and landed Maurizio Sarri from Napoli. Conte, 49, claims the circumstances regarding his dismissal have affected his chances of landing a big job since. Chelsea are working hard to reach a settlement, but the newspaper further claim that Conte has missed two meetings with the club’s lawyers - and wants to drag the matter out as much as possible. The Blues' counter argument in the saga is that Conte cost them money when he sent Diego Costa a text message saying he should find a new club. This resulted in a major bust-up between the duo, with the now Atletico Madrid forward blaming him for his messy exit from Stamford Bridge. Chelsea also claim that Conte was regularly late for his media duties and was absent from sponsorship commitments on occasions. But quite incredibly they have also lodged a complaint that he parked his car in spaces not assigned to him at the club's Cobham training base. Conte was in line to replace Julen Lopetegui at Real Madrid, but that was reportedly blocked over his request to bring in a large backroom team. Therefore, the Italian is prepared to play the long game and fight the case until the end as a matter of honour.
November 6, 20187 yr So we havent even paid the man his dues yet? f**k the 8,7M but if he is good for the other 11M then pay the man. We handled the Conte sacking so so badly.
