March 10, 201610 yr The only positive I can take is that this will surely give the powers that be an almighty kick up the arse...heads should roll after one of the worst season's in the club's history.
March 10, 201610 yr Oh one other positive is we avoided the inevitable drubbing we would have got if we'd faced someone really decent, like barca's front three
March 10, 201610 yr First off let me address the PSG mateys on here. Not only are you thought of as prime C##ts on this board but also in all of France, especially Marseille. They also have proper fans like Chelsea do. Secondly, think Jose was correct in stating he got the squad 'punching above their weight' last season. Guus has calmed the ship but in doing so the passion and grit has all but vanished. Yes it's good being away from 19th place as Guus reminds us constantly but at what price. This a complete surrender once Costa left the proceedings. (1st half was great, but the 2nd erased it and replaced it with dis a fookin point ment) ?Everton away next, if Costa is out going to be a tough ask. Hazard swapping the shirt at HT, it's just NOT DONE in football period - upon 90 yes, an outrageous act of disrespect imo. glad to see him sold in the summer he can f right off, he's obviously not up for strutting his stuff for our club anymore so bye bye. Hope Costa gets fit ASAP & stays next season. He's one of a minority that are now trying. Willian as well. mikel was good today. Defending was woeful for their goals, too many mistakes today & all season. if JTs gone then all of them bar Dave & Zouma should follow him out the door. Also Dave who made a career out of RB before here is now a better LB. The club needs to remove the persons responsible for ??player recruitment for a chance at change and a rebuild. I hope Contes lawyers negotiate some power over 1st team Affairs including player recruitment, or this mare is going on. And if the club is not going to promote youth who've won a couple of FA y cups & U21 CL recently then shut the academy down and save a few bob. Rant over.

The club removed the man who sucked all the passin out of these players. The club removed the man who recruited Falcao. The club removed the man who left the club in an irrecoverable position where top 4 was out of reach 16 games into the season. There is no point you getting worked up over a clearly better side who done better and beat us with 10men last year under the stewardship of the negative one. Our squad is/was very good. We did not over achieve last season. That's another trick from Jose to make himself look good because he knows fans will lap up his every word.
March 10, 201610 yr The club removed the man who recruited Falcao. Emenalo got fired? When? Where? This calls for a celebration.
March 10, 201610 yr Gutted we lost. Realistically though, that is not a surprise to be honest the way we have played this season.
March 10, 201610 yr Emenalo got fired? When? Where? This calls for a celebration. No Jose, the man who publicy endorsed the signing of Falcao and stating he could get him back to his beSt. If emanalo takes the blame for that then he must take credit for signing Costa and cesc who won us the league in the first 19 games. The result is we have Jose a man that doesnt sign the players but is just managing those signed for him. When the board bring in 2 world stars for 60m Jose is happy for 6 months but as soon as the cheque book dries up, he loses all mental control

We did not over achieve last season. That's another trick from Jose to make himself look good because he knows fans will lap up his every word. The club removed the man twice (2007 and 2015) who won us three titles in five full seasons with us. The club removed the man instead of selling players who returned to pre-season overweight, unfit and unmotivated. The club removed the man who stated numerous times he wanted to be here for the long-haul. The club removed the man who signed a new four-year contract in the summer and pledged his future with us. The club removed the man who got the best out of a squad that clearly overachieved last season as hindsight shows. The club removed the man who indicated that the squad needed changes if we were going to sustain our title defence. The club did NOT listen or demonstrate any knowledge that changes needed to be made in the summer on the advice of the manager who trains and sees this squad nearly every day. The club removed the man who is loved and respected by a majority of supporters! They essentially sucked the passion and soul out of the club before our very eyes and I never thought we'd see something of this magnitude again after the Benitez saga. The club removed the man who was stuck with a squad of pea-hearts and those who did not have the mental capacity or will to defend the title and play like a team who just became champions. The club removed the man instead of making others accountable for years of incompetence (i.e. Michael Emenalo) Edited March 10, 201610 yr by Jezz

The club removed the man instead of making others accountable for years of incompetence (i.e. Michael Emenalo) 2007 was wrong but 2015 you don't seem to comprehend the position we were inJose continued to play unfit unmotivated players instead of giving Remy or Traore the opportunity. He said he wanted to be here long term but his actions showed otherwise. The one summer he can't spend 100m he pulls a hissy fit. Hindsight shows we didn't overachieve last season. Our rivals were city and arsenal, two very inconsistent teams as Leicester are showing. Jose is loved but I'm sorry I love my club more. Would rather stay up than stick with Jose and fight relegation. This squad was Jose's squad. If they can decline so quick it just shows Jose can't build long term squads. Dress it up however you want, Jose is mostly to blame for this. Edited March 10, 201610 yr by KonaKai Blue
March 10, 201610 yr 2007 was wrong but 2015 you don't seem to comprehend the position we were in I've comprehended the position that we were in back in December and yes I agree that our form in the EPL was poor but we seem to conveniently forget that we qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League and Mourinho hadn't even been given a transfer window to at least address the issues of the squad or stem the bleeding for the time being. The timing of the dismissal was rather odd though especially when the chance of winning the EPL was gone by this stage and we still had a chance to win the UCL and FA Cup but those competitions weren't starting until January or February when things could have easily changed with perseverance and luck. We were better off telling Jose that this season was a write off and after everything he achieved the season before he would be given the backing and time to get things back on track on the pitch. It would have taken the pressure off him, the players would have thought that the club was serious about Jose's proposed longevity and it would have sent a message to the supporters and the wider public that we were changing our ways after 6 years of managerial instability even if the trophies still piled up due to a great squad of players back then which is something we do not have now. The club had a massive opportunity to make a statement that it would back the manager and that the notion of player power would cease to exist within club ranks but sadly it did the complete opposite and now we're going to look back on this with regret one day. After what we did 7 months before his sacking, it's just complete madness that we're in this situation now. Edited March 10, 201610 yr by Jezz
March 10, 201610 yr Still deflated, we did have a genuine chance at 1-1 but it wasn't to be. That ugly cockface scoring the winner was a kick in the nuts. There has been a lot of angry reactions on here some a bit extreme but hopefully we've all cooled down a bit. Still have the FA Cup to look forward to and maybe the Europa League if we turn draws into wins! Hopefully missing out on the CL will seperate the do's from the dont's. The ones who do want to give their all for Chelsea and those that don't give a fcuk, I think we know who they are. I have confidence that next season is going to make us happy, I've got a good feeling about it. Onwards and upwards Chelsea FC.
March 10, 201610 yr ".....the players betrayed me"......was what José said after the leicester game...just about sums it up for me..
March 10, 201610 yr Why is Kenedy getting stick tonight. I thought he was excellent & a certain star in the making. No doubt we'll loan him out then sell him. I didn't get the feeling that he was doing a good job as a LB. I thought he was one of our too many weak links.
March 10, 201610 yr I didn't get the feeling that he was doing a good job as a LB. I thought he was one of our too many weak links. Probably our best player all things considered

When the board bring in 2 world stars for 60m Jose is happy for 6 months but as soon as the cheque book dries up, he loses all mental control So now Jose is sacked, do you think we'd buy any more once great strikers who are looking to rebuild their careers after a serious injury? I might enjoy my morning tea on the PATiO today.
March 10, 201610 yr Probably our best player all things considered If a headless chicken is the standard that everyone is aiming for.
March 10, 201610 yr We got rid of Jose for this. Silly me, all this time I thought we got rid of Jose because we had lost over half of the 16 games, had public relations problems directly connected to Jose that could potentially decrease sponsorship value, and had a much higher chance of playing next year in the Football League Championship than the Champions League.
March 10, 201610 yr We aren't good enough at the moment. Defensively we look frail when we come up against top class opposition. Cahill just isn't good enough I'm afraid, he isn't top level and that is what is needed at this level. The half time shirt swap by Hazard is laughable if he going there, then make sure we bleed them dry with the fee. If we got 50 off them for Luiz then the sky is limit.

Good post, for me Haz nowadays is not as good as Luiz was and is. Surely Hazard has dropped in monetary value.
March 10, 201610 yr We didn't see it at the time but as soon as we changed to Yokohama our form deflated.
