Outside of the bright spells near halftime in both legs, we were outclassed. We made some bad mistakes at the back, but  PSG were clinical in taking the chances.

 

That said, I wouldn't give PSG much chance against Barca or Munich, even Atletico would probably beat them. They're just as bad as us at the back.

What did we really expect coming up against PSG with a makeshift defence? I was gutted after the second, but thought the team played some good football at times and went toe to toe with them. Had we had an established left back and JT/zouma in the middle it would have been so easy for them to pick us apart.

So who will want to come and play for Chelsea next season without champions league action?

Can't defend. Dave was asleep for the 2nd goal. A simple pass between fullback and CB shouldn't cause as many difficulties as it did tonight.

 

Played well for about 20 minutes, but other than that, it was all too easy for Paris, they just passed around us.

We would never have progressed beyond this round anyway given our season....better out now I guess than draw any of the remaining teams...although we might have stood a chance against City.   Just hope Leicester do us proud next season in the CL rather than the rest of the sh*te that will end up in the top 4.

Another sh*t day in a sh*t season. Out to PSG again, a team who, let's be honest, ain't really that great themselves. 

 

Poor defending for both of their goals, not surprising really, our defending has been nothing but a joke all season. Going forward we look good when we are direct, but as soon as we slow it down and do all of this sh*t tikki takka stuff, the move breaks down. Costa was forcing us to be direct at times going forward, but as soon as he came off it started going down hill. Willian, Hazard, Fabregas, they get to the penalty area and stop, Pedro was the only player looking to just score the goal. Us trying to score the perfect goal has been so frustrating to watch in the last 3 season's. It's boring and it's proven to never work for us. We need to be more direct and go for the kill as quick as we can. 

 

Let's hope we can go on and do something great in the cup and put this season to rest. Hopefully next season we see a change in tactics, style of football and bring in some players that won't bottle it for most of the season. Some of the so called world class players have been woeful throughout this season, we need players who will put in everything they have for the club.

I genuinely thought we gave a good account of ourselves, we still need to be more clinical but we had PSG on the ropes for large periods of that game.

The deciding goal was just them being clinical.

We need to bear in mind we lost our main man, that changed the game completely!

They're rank at the back, they'll get beat in the next round, unless they draw Madrid who are equally terrible at the back.
