When you look at who the experienced ones in the team are today, it's not that surprising.

 

Absolutely gutless.

The lack of urgency is what annoys me most. When you see the mistakes on top of the lack of urgency it just look's like our players don't give a damn and aren't willing to put the effort in.

This proves to me the summer is not a mere tweak job but rather a pretty tough rebuild.

It might not be our first team sheet but the depth isn't great either. At least the young boys got some game time, that's what I'll take from it.

At least that excuse is now gone. We have been playing poor football all season, Guus didn't really change anything.

Normal service resumed at Swansea then. That 5 nil game an oddity as we are normally poor there. Ba's winner aside that is.

I think this has to be the lineup when we play Leicester.

Thought Swansea deserved this today...albeit we fielded a weakened team they pressed for the entire 90 minutes and never let up whereas we were playing just about where our league position puts us.  An experimental day to be sure, giving everyone some game time.  Thought Pato made some good runs, he didn't get a lot of service, yes he missed a couple of chances but that is probably down to being somewhat rusty. I think he and Costa might work together. RLC was good throughout; the defence was a shambles and Mikel certainly steadied the ship when he moved to the back four....end of season stuff so I didn't expect to see much 'gusto' to be honest.
