Chelsea end long standing partnership with adidas

The only kit that Nike have done well with in my opinion is PSG, the rest in my opinion share dull and unimaginitive designs highlighted by years of england and man utd kits. But as I said, I'll leave it up to Nike to impress me.

My fav kits ever are the 85/86 Le Coq Sportif, 90/91 Commodore which I still have, and the 2011/12 kit. Never liked Nike as a brand, lets see what they can produce.

Which is a valid argument if we didnt just finish the season in 10th.

Time for everyone to start realising this moment isn't the time to start caring about what other teams do, we need to get back into being worth that amount sharpish.

We did sell the most shirts in the world this season though.

Not complaining at all but I did think we would be breaking records with this deal, still impressive numbers.

There was no way we were going to get more than United. They are in a different league to us in terms of global appeal.

To be the second biggest is a huge achievement for us and is more than I was expecting.

Youre, wrong there. We were getting paid more than United during 2013-14 season.

I actually like nike sports clothing so this is good. Be interesting to see what kit designs they come up with for us. Please make them good, and design a yellow one please.

I love their Dri-Fit clothing, it feels very comfortable while working out.

Some Nike kits have an ugly patch just below the collar though, I can never make out whether players put some stuff on it or whether it is sweat.

Quite common to apply vaporub on the chest area during intensive aerobic work. Helps with breathing to a certain extent.

Stamford and Bridget will have to switch shoes too. It cracks me up the mental image of a shoe maker picking up the phone and hearing that the job is to make two pairs of oversized Nike shoes for stuffed lions. (Or maybe the Adidas stripes are stickers that they can easily remove and replace with a Nike logo?)

Gunnersaurus looked super cool in his Nike shoes.

By the way, the proper pronunciation is nigh-kee, the way the Greek goddess's name is pronounced. Confirmed by Phil Knight himself.

I cringe when I hear people say 'nike' as in like or 'a-deeh-das'.

It's 'adi', you know, as in short for Adolf Dassler.

Ah, is that what it is. Is it me or does that only show on Nike kits?

Never mind, it's probably me.

Some of the French national team kits have looked good. Simple but effective designs.

Roma's kits have looked good for a couple of years now too.

We'll see Nike's kit this time next year. Ok, maybe a few months earlier on leaked pictures :) Anyway, it's only guessing until then, and it might turn out to be good or bad. I don't see how is that different from Adidas, they made some bloody ugly kits too.

It'll be blue with white trim I spoke to the chief designer at Nike he told me himself. So there we go lots of money and a primarily blue kit. Sounds like a good deal to me.

The one advantage Nike have over Adidas (for me personally) is the 'tick' is very discreet leaving the overall look of the shirt smoother, less gaudy and ostentatious, unlike those three stripes overpowering the arms on the adidas tops.
