Serious question. Who's fans are more delusional, Arsenal or Liverpool? Both seem to think they are world class teams for some reason..

Tough one.

Arsenal fans have been sticking by Wenger for over a decade of absolute nothingness. Each year it's going to change and they will come out on top.....

Liverpool fans believe they are the greatest and most historic club in existence, after a run of good results it too is their year and Klopp like Brenda is destined to get them back to their glory days.

Both fans are as delusional as each other but the scouse have always been louder in their 'look at us' mentality so they take the trophy....the only one they will get this year.

Liverpool fans are delusional by nature - they are scousers and so therefore they are basically bipolar, one minute thinking they are the greatest thing in the woirld, the next thinking they are victims and the whole world is out to get them.

Arsenal fans are delusional by nurture - they have slowly gone mad, like a collective case of stockholm syndrome, having Wenger lie to their faces for over a decade, they actually believe it now.

As a lad from Leeds I can honestly say that Leeds fans take the cake on the most delusional. Right now Leeds are in the top six and most of their fans I know think it's a formality that they will get promoted. They also believe they're gonna smash Newcastle on Sunday even though Newcastle are absolutely destroying teams.

Of course in the PL it's those two but I'd also add West Ham to that list. They were convinced a new stadium would turn them into PL powerhouses overnight for some reason.

Perfect way to describe it

am actually excited about the manchild derby tomorrow, really don't care who wins just hoping for a match full of controversial calls so they might actually have a touchline fistfight

Oh yes please!

The first question Pep gets asked at his press conference today is about Rooney's behavior during the international break. That right there is the English media summed up, Pathetic, No interest in tactics, formations and actual football stuff but love the gossip, 'hello' magazine side of the game.

Well said, an unfortunate sign of the times we live in. The media cares more about Miley Cyrus guarding with Robin Thicke than it does something positive or interesting. Unfortunately it's made its way to sports so we get managers asked questions that are quite frankly unwarranted. Why ask Pep Guardiola about Rooney when he doesn't even play for City? It just proves that They concentrate on negative aspects only these days. They have no interest in anything positive either or anything even remotely about the actual football. It's quite funny cause you'll read about a hammering for a team and the articles will all be about the negative aspect of the team that were hammered rather than the team that did the hammering.

Great post.

Tbh, from personal experience i'd say Liverpool, simply because the majority of their fans weren't around when they were successful from what i've met.

But Newcastle fans are even worse. I've no idea why they feel they should be a title winning team.

yet you still see young liverpool supporters everywhere you go and you think to yourself...why support them...they've been sh*t for years?

However little I understand what it must be like not supporting Chelsea, those young Liverpool supporters were probably told to support Liverpool, much like many Chelsea supporters were informed by their families they support Chelsea. Usually in a time when we were sh*t too. No glory hunters

Journalist must have some serious restrictions on what they can ask managers or players, i mean you can't tell me they aren't itching to ask questions like what Lee Mack asks Henry in this video.

Not one to defend a journo but they must have orders from above not to go to deep, be it tactically, relationship with players etc

Liverpool are so historic that Everton used Anfield for seven years before they were even founded.
