Leicester are 2 points above relegation i mean could it happen? There title defence is surely worst than ours by far?

European football is taking it's toll on them, Mind you if they progress in Europe, They could be playing Real away on the Wednesday and having a relegation 6 pointer at home to Hull City on the Saturday, That would be funny.

For me the bread and butter always trumps Europe, I'd rather be the best side in my country than have to rely on the luck of the draw in Europe, Remember the best side in Europe doesn't always win the CL but the best side in the league does, Don't get me wrong i'd take both but if i had to choose, The league first always.

Excuse my words, no intention to offend you or your opinion, but to me that is such a small team mentality I hope is not prevalent at Chelsea. Chelsea, Manchester City or United are big enough clubs now a days to be able to compete decently in the CL and still fight for the league title. FGS we are not Leicester. This season we don't have CL and we wouldn't have the subs to compete in both, but I hope the club will get good signings next season to be able to go to CL and have a decent run at it, and at the same time get a top four position in the league. We've got to have a big team mentality.

What a crap game that was, Leicester were incapable of moving the ball around competently except for a small spell in the second half. Some shocking individual performances as well - Drinkwater and Musa were awful and Slimani was completely ineffective. Freezing cold and a crap atmosphere as well.

I'm a wee bit with Kinkladie here. No I would never want to go out of any competition early especially the CL with all the kudos that surrounds it and the money for the club but if it was a choice of what I'd prefer to win it would be the EPL every time ahead of what at the end of the day is a cup competition.

I agree...winning the title and lauding it over tossers like Liverpool fans brings far more, long lasting joy...still, I loved Munich and now being able to sing 'only team in London to win Euro cup' at gooners and sp*rs

TBH did anyone expect Liverpool to not win today?

Its not like we're massively behind them and it's way to early to be getting over excited about been top.

Yeah doesn't bother me one bit, knew they'd wipe the floor with Watford...let them take the limelight and media love In...supposedly they have been amazing all season and yet despite this, they're only a point ahead of us...their blip is yet to come.

Did anyone watch Swansea vs United ? That performance by Swansea in the first half was one of the worst i have seen in a while. If you play FIFA, it was like watching someone play against a team on amateur difficulty. At one point, Rooney ran through their midfield and defence without anyone even attempting to stop him.

I can't see Bob Bradley lasting long there.

Liverpool's attack is seriously good. I still think their defence may cause issues, but they have the ability to outscore pretty much anyone. Interesting.

After 11 games:

Chelsea (2015-2016) - (15th) 3 Wins, 2 Draws, 6 Losses, Goal Difference = -6, 11 Points.

Leicester (2016-2017) - (14th) 3 Wins, 3 Draws, 5 Losses, Goal Difference = -5, 12 Points.

Tottenham and Arsenal cancel each other out. The ideal result.

Only need Liverpool to spontaneously combust and we'll be top. At worst, we'll be 2nd.

Looks like the only team that spontaneously combusted today was Watford...

Klopp's Liverpool ATM looks like a very dangerous side. Their defence still seems vulnerable at times (unlike ours) but he has the attacking three of Mane, Coutinho and Firmino working perfectly.

It would surprise me if one of Conte, Guardiola or Pocchettino did not find a way to neutralise them, though. Mou managed to do so previously, albeit by parking the bus.

Still, my instinct tells me they well be at least 2nd this season because they lack CL football.

Exactly my thoughts, and that's why I never really warmed to the management styles of say Benitez and Ancelotti who often scraped the league to go all out in Europe, doing that you are basically pining the success of the season on moments and luck.

Ok, the league can be decided on individual moments (as you would know more than anyone) but to be up there close shows consistency. In the CL couple of kind draws you are in thesemi, good tactical display then you get to a final, anything can happen then. If you are world class for 30 league games and average for 8 you are champion. You could storm through to the semi with ultimate ease, have an off day semi first led and unable to break parked bus in second and you are gone.

Indeed, bet they wish they had kept Gary Monk now, who seems to be doing a decent enough job at Leeds, despite having that lunatic in charge of the running of that club.

Oh god don't get me started on Leeds. Suddenly there fans are convinced they're coming up cause they're in the playoff places.

It makes their comments of "sorry we can't hear you from the top of the league" all the more laughable. 11 matches in, they're only a point clear at the top and Arsenal in 4th are 2 points behind them. You'd think that after 13/14 Liverpool wouldn't think the league was wrapped up despite the season not being finished

It will be glorious when they f**k it up again!

Where was Mesut Zidane yesterday? He is the type of player who does tricks and skills and dabs after each worldie he scores when he's playing with the year 6 boys, As soon as he plays with the older lads on an astroturf and it gets a bit physical, He sulks home.

It's been so long since they were relevant that I barely remember them even being in the PL.

"They will start to falter again as soon as teams work out their new formation"

5 games won in a row, 5 clean sheets, 16 goals scored

3 Seria A titles in a row with Juventus with the 3-4-3

Liverpool fans. They really are delusional

Many of their comments beggars belief. Vile specimens some of them.

The bitterness in some of the comments is both hilarious and pathetic
