Why give barca credit they cheated that's not sport.  If we spent the night diving I'd be embarrassed.  The game is in a bad way if people want to give praise and credit  for cheating.

You know what? Upon seeing the highlights again you're right. At worst Suarez dived for the first penalty, at best he fell over himself and benefited from poor refereeing.

Neither of those penalties was IMO legit, especially the first one.

PSG were poor, but f**k Barcelona.

I can't read

2 penalties, a penalty not given to PSG (masch on ADM) plus a red, a red not given to neymar on hacking the PSG player.

I am sorry if these many decision goes in the favor of one of the best teams in the world boasting of players like messi, suarez, neymar, iniesta, busquets, pique, then I dont exactly know what favouritism/cheating really is.

Unbelievable.

Apparently Mascherano admitted on TV that he brought down Di Maria. As if we needed it confirmed.

The lack of TV focus on that was weird. Looked pretty clear to me but I only ever saw the angle from wide out. No close-ups were shown at all.

Yes, it was a phenomenal game, but it still left a sour taste in my mouth. Can't stand either club.

The way Sp*rs have been playing, most of their games look winnable so we will have to ensure we drop as few points as possible. Burnley & Swansea away and Arsenal & Utd at home are the only games I can see them maybe not getting all 3 points and even then, chances are they will.

As I said in another thread - keep in mind that Spurs have only won 4 away games this season.

Does not it bother the amount of pseudo anger we get from fans all over the world when a "defensive" team wins something (like us in 2011/12). Yet, all Barca is getting is accolades. I mean seriously???

So in short Cheating trumps Defensive football...

The message  is clear  football is the only sport ( business ) in the world where cheaters get rewarded  take athletics if you get caught  cheating you'll be stripped  of medals.  Football  hails you as a hero  the game is not the beautiful  game  no way.   I wonder how many champions leagues  would  Barcelona  have without  being aided by dodgy  decisions

There are some clubs where things seem justifiable...decisions go Barca' favour? Well they deserve it cos they're gods gift to the game...Utd player scores from offside position? Not only should it stand, it should be named goal of the month as well. Chelsea win dubious penalty? Cheats, scum of the earth, montage of crimes, bombard manager with critical questions etc

And now on TalkSport that w**ker Adrian Durham is saying that he is disappointed that football fans are focusing more on the cheating of Barcelona rather than the comeback. Well, that should tell you something Durham, we are fed up with Barcelona and their cheating. It cancels out any of the so called brilliant things they achieved that night. If someone was to cheat in another sport, we wouldn't be praising them, so why should a football team get away with it ?

The media are a bunch of hypocrites. If that was England being cheated out of a competition, they wouldn't be praising the performance of the other team.

No cheating  no comeback  simple as that

Here is what Ferdinand said a few years back about Barcelona and their diving

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1381418/Rio-Ferdinand-slams-Barcelona-diving-Twitter.html

And last night, he was jumping around celebrating and didn't have a single negative word to say about their cheating.

Hypocrite.

If he wants to jump around and celebrate the comeback then fair enough, but at least do your job and acknowledge that without the diving, the comeback would never have actually happened.

Here here. Totally agree.

If it was a Chelsea pundit, say Lampard, I would still have contempt for him not doing his punditry job properly, a job all of us (inc me) subscribers pay for, including his fee/flight/expenses for the evening.

Take a look at Robbie Savages twitter page, any other game he would be ripping into the ref on those dreadful decisions, but he's completely failed to mention any of it. https://twitter.com/RobbieSavage8?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^author

I think we should call them the Stepford Pundits.

That is the same Adrian Durham that in 2009 said that Barcelona were a disgrace and that the game between them and us should have been replayed, I love it.

In a week when the bin dippers comeback in Istanbul has been totally overshadowed, Jose and Manu have whinged about the pitch in a competition that he previously had no interest in and Arsene Wenger was struggling to find a reason to continue at Arsenal, Citeh slip up at home in a half empty stadium ... we quickly and quietly move closer to the Premier League title, nice:good2:

just spent some time reading bluemoon and city fans have to be the most entitled and delusional dickheads ive ever seen. they're still whining about kdb missing the sitter and actually think they would of walked the league if not for refereeing decision lol.

also apparently we're a very lucky team, extremely boring to watch and not big team like them because we play like a small team

for a bunch of johnnycomelatelys, they got real self entitled...real quick. tiki taka my arse when you cant even put 1 goal past stoke at home

cant wait till we cock these c**ts

They can say what they like about us, but the fact is we went toe to toe with Barca for a few years and was one of the only teams that could give them a game and better.  That was when Barca were at there best.  Even last year we had a decent run in the CL even though our league form was dire.  Like any club, we get our fair share of stick.  But for the real Chelsea haters, at least we have given ourselves a good account in Europe over the years . . Far more so than City have, and we are supposed to be the small club that doesn't know how to attack?!

Did you see Michael Owen's reaction Scott? Embarrassing, Not only because he is English and not remotely affiliated with Barca but he played for their arch rivals, Having said that this is the guy that is Liverpool ambassador after leaving them and ending up at United and winning the title, He's also the guy who got bored with football to go into horse racing.
