Interesting stat regarding Arsenal's work rate. Even in games against Liverpool and Manchester City where they had less possession they are being outrun.

It's not necessarily the cause of their bad form but certainly seems to be a symptom. When you see those clips of Ozil just meandering around instead of closing down... That's where this stat comes in. The demand to work harder just doesn't to be there.

Fair point.  I suppose if the boss in work lets you away with slacking of your going to do it.   Maybe ozil  is just a lazy player or maybe he needs a manager to push him more.   From the outside looking in it seems like wenger  for years has let he's players do what they want.  Take gallas  for example  crying and moaning  on the St Andrew's  pitch he wouldn't  have done that at Chelsea.    Arsenal  are weak on and off the pitch and also weak on the terraces.

Nobody cares at that club anymore. The board and the owners have made it clear Wenger has a job for life regardless of results and Wenger clearly has lost his mojo and the qualities that makes him a top manager so it's now filtering down to the players. Why bother putting in effort when there would be no consequences whatever happens.

Its actually funny hearing Arsenal fans say Wenger is being loyal by staying at Arsenal and not going to Barcelona or psg. As if those clubs would let a manager hang around for 12yrs without winning the title and stinking in Europe.

Great point - Everyone loves to criticise Wenger, and rightfully so, but there are several players who are simply not good enough or don't put in enough effort: Özil, Walcott, Iwobi, Ramsey, Coquelin, Elneny, Gibbs, and Monreal come to mind. Ultimately though, it's up to Wenger to realise which of these players are not good enough and to ship them out if they don't have it in them to perform...

I don't like the guy but this spot on from Peirs Morgan regarding Wenger

Morgan is a c*** of the highest order but I must say I agree with him completely on Wenger.

A better manager would be doing more with that Arsenal squad. They cant even do the simple things like set pieces and be organised and compact. Wenger has no plan B. Everyone knows how they will set up, players love it there because they get it easy. So many players also havent improved under Wenger. That all comes back to the manager. I think he has lost the players as they say if football.

I remember having a discussion with a mate of mine, who happens to support Arsenal, about 10 years ago. I said then that they should get rid of Wenger and I blamed it on Wengers arrogance. His arrogance of having great teams, with the likes of Adams, Henry, Bergkamp, Pires, Ljungberg, Cole, Petite and Vieira, and  thinking that he could move them on and replace them with youth or cheap buys.

Part of his problem maybe was his success story in buying Henry. Henry was bought as a good but fairly average winger and turned out to be a world class centre forward. Wenger, I believe, thought that this was because of him and that he could turn the average players that he bought into world beaters. His arrogance made him believe that he was the making of Henry when in fact Henry was the making of himself.

Werger is an arrogant prick and always will be.  I will be sorry to see him go but unfortunately it's looking more and more likely.

Dont see much of my Arsenal mate these days but will be meeting up with him in a couple of weeks. He was a very staunch Wenger supporter back in the day, it will be interesting to see his view now.

Love this from one of the comments on Arsenal TV:

Mourinho came to Chelsea in 2004 and won the league 2005 and 2006. Wenger in 2005 - building the team.  Ferguson won the league 2007, 2008, 2009. Wenger in 2007, 2008, 2009... still building the team.  Ancelloti came to Chelsea in 2009 and won the league in 2010. Wenger in 2010... still building the team.  Roberto Mancini came to Man city in 2010 and won the league in 2012. Wenger in 2012... still building the team. Pellegrini came to Man city in 2013 and won the league in 2014. Wenger in 2014... still building the team.  Mourinho came back to Chelsea in 2013 and won the league in 2015.  Wenger in 2015... still building the team. Claudio Ranieri came to Leicester city in 2015 and won the league in 2016.  Wenger in 2016... still building the team.  Antonio Conte came to Chelsea in 2016 and already taking the EPL by storm until 2017. Wenger in 2017... still building the team. Wenger are you building the Ark of Noah.??

Well good news then, because according to the Telegraph this morning, Wenger is going to have one last go at re-building his team over the summer by making a lot of changes.

Maybe the players are not trying anymore. Ozil especially. Haven't heard/seen good things from him since 5-7 games since start of season.

Now Arsenal fans are going atheist on him. Noah did not, will not happen.

Arsenal have never been known as a team of fighters but this season they're ridiculous.  No effort and no desire.  It was evident at the match at the Bridge that when they lost the ball they just didn't try hard enough to get it back.  No leaders either.  And Whinger has obviously just let them get away with it.

One incident most people ignored over the weekend was how easy the big, honest British player John Waters went down under minimum contact. Of course there's contact, but if penalty is given for every contact, we'd have 5:6 game every weekend.  If that was Costa, it's definitely a yellow for diving. So much for honest British players, and Mark Hughes crying out for player acting.

Considering he played for Ireland at Euro 2016, I don't think you can call Walters British [emoji6]

Wenger has supposedly signed a 2 year contract. Multiple sources reporting it.

I hope it's true. It would beat all other ArsenalFanTV videos.

I'm not sure it was a dive, I don't recall him even appealing for a penalty, no-one did, everyone turned around to get on with the game and then the ref blew.

It was a total dive.  Watch his legs - he picks them up behind himself - utter w**ker and the ref fell for it.
