I can understand the Pikies being investigated, being as they work cash in hand all the time.  Finest tarmac my drive ever had, and it lasted nearly four weeks before breaking up.  And newcastle are the pikies of the north, so that explains that, too.

I'd rather just have it settled as soon as possible to be honest! If Palace or Arsenal can do us a favour in the next 4/5 days then that would be very welcome.

I'm confident they will slip up, Pochettino has shown signs of a man under pressure, His rant about Xavi in his pre match press conference was weird as hell, Insinuating that he works for Guardiola and his comments about Dele Alli were because he doesn't like him from his days at Espanyol, Really weird.

I'd gladly grab the draw for this one if offered now, gut feeling is Spurs win to set up a gigantic weekend.

Would be too much for Palace to beat us, Liverpool and Spurs in the space of a few weeks...wouldn't it?

I reckon Spurs will either batter Palace or they'll lose 1-0.

Wouldn't it be funny if Newcastle got docked 50 points and relegated back to the EFL before the new season started? Ahaha

Man that Pochetino interview was so funny. I think he's cracking up from the pressure. Says Xavi is his enemy and starts rambling on about a game where's Barca cheated against Espanyol lol.

The mask is slipping to reveal his Argentinian genes, wait till Messi retires.

He's lost the plot. We've got to him! Watch Spurs crumble.

In other news, BREAKING: Joey Barton suspended from football for 18 months for breaching betting regulations

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39720232

Who could be arsed to read that? I read a paragraph and gave up.

The man is a knob.

I just don't get millionaires gambling.

TalkSPORT report on Barton being banned for betting, followed by an advert for betting. I'm not excusing Barton, he's an idiot, but he has a point based on betting being plastered all over football, on radio, on T.V, seconds before kick off, it's getting beyond a joke and it needs to stop.

He's 'addicted to gambling', apparently. Ever since early age. He's also a moron.

The point about football and gambling companies is valid though. If I have to hear the phrase 'bet in play, now!' one more time....:dead_horse:

The FA are complete hypocrites as usual, they expect no player place a bet, but expect sponsorships from betting companies, they need to look at themselves.

Indeed, I would do a small bet once every few months these days, if that!.

I cant help but think those ads are going to cause a tsunami of gambling problems in 10 years time for many folk.

I'd put money on it

Betting advertising is a problem, but existent gambling addicts will always find ways to gamble no matter how much you regulate advertising.

The issue is with younger impressionable people who see betting advertising all too often. We have the same problem in Australia where many young kids now look at the odds of a match rather than the form guide to predict a winner.

Well yeah, that's not a bad idea!

Your point about rich people gambling is spot on, The reason us normal folk gamble is because we want to strike it rich, Hence the £3 10 team accumulators trying to win £10 k. If you already have money why not invest it in something more stable i.e. errm i dunno a business?

To this day, I rarely compete at anything without there being something at stake.

Slipped this one into the middle of his diatribe about how he was raised and lives in a gambling environment. Probably not the best thing to say considering he's a professional athlete whose job it is to compete in things... whoops.
