Exactly, I often think some people just won't let themselves rate a player or say they deserve an award because they play for a team they hate. It's like when people were sure Kane would be a one season wonder. It was obvious that wasn't going to be the case but because he played for Spurs people were saying that. If Alli and Kane played for us many of those same supporters would be creaming all over them.

Nobody playing outside the Premier League is going to win it, and they shouldn't either. These awards should go to players playing in the top league. I'm fine with Dele Alli winning, he has only just turned 21 after all and has scored 20 goals this season, 16 in the Premier League. He may be a Spud, but scoring 20 goals as midfielder at his age is pretty damn good. The only midfielder doing this on a regular basis was Lampard and he didn't start doing it until his mid 20's.

I do think that 21 should be the cut off point though. Harry Kane ( 23 ) Lukaku ( 23 ) Jordan Pickford ( 23 ) and Michael Keane ( 24 ) should have been nowhere near that award.

I rate him. I was just referring to how ludacris it seems to me that he's won it again after being an established player. I thought the spirit of that award was to recognize breakout young players

But there's a cut off point of age so if he is the best young player in that age bracket whether he won it last year or not he still deserves to be on it and this case deserve to win it.

Hazard won it at 23 when he was already established so I'm not sure why you're complaining.

No mention in the media of Arsenal copying Conte's formation/tactics? Similar to Spurs, Just a bunch of copycats with no philosophy of their own.

All nice and good. I'd love to see them try to play it against us. So far only Spurs have been able to try it against us and give us a proper game. Every other team that has tried it against us has gotten slaughtered.

few rumours that kyle walker has held talks with pochettino about his future. there's interest from bayern munich accoring to bild and kicker. he is a really good right back, think bayern would be an interesting destination for him with lahm coming to the end of his career. about time more english players moved abroad. alli and kane should f**k off too

To be fair Spurs have a great replacement in Trippier. His ability to but a ball into the box is one of the best in the league.

I think Trippier has been so underated and I actually rated him higher than I did Walker before this year. Would definitely have him as a rotation with Moses.

Same here pal, he's class.

Congratulations Newcastle!

Fair play to Benitez, He took the challenge head on and has managed to serve up some good football at St James'.

I'm intreged to see how Newcastle get on next year.

Rafa isn't great on the front foot, hence the fact he never won the PL title (too many stuff ups in banker games, remember QPR days after a win at Goodison?) and has made a meal out of winning the Championship with by far the best squad, but as we found out to our cost on many occasions he is very good at tactically setting up a team as a underdog and that's exactly what he will be vs half the league next season.

Don't think we will be the only one of the big boys dropping points at SJP next time round.

Congratulations to Newcastle! They're a great club and have always deserved to be in the Premier League. Clubs who haven't been Premier League material for a long time like Sunderland need to f**k off. Some of the most dire football in the league over the past 8 years or so. Would be a shame if Hull got the drop though. I hope they stay up. Or if they drop, I hope Marco Silva gets a mid table job. Good young manager.

I was just thinking about this. If the gooners can somehow win that North London Derby, that will be a win-win for CFC. Help in the charge for the League title & le voyeur will stay a bit longer w/ the gooners

Impressive save in the Newcastle Preston game. Too bad it wasn't by the goalkeeper :laugh2:

The funniest thing is that he didn't even have to do it. He could quite easily have got his head or chest to the ball rather than use his hands :laugh2:

His reaction straight after doing it makes me think he was thinking the same.

Newcastle had a massive budget, a wealth of quality players, Rafa the waiter at the helm. They huffed and puffed and stumbled across the line and enjoyed a media love-in throughout.

yeah congratulations...

Ive been much more impressed by Huddersfield Town, proper club, Izzy and Kasey helping out, already qualified for the Play offs::clap2::

Surely we can hope for some help from Crystal Palace tonight? They are in great form at the moment.

Hopefully Allardyce doesn't rest his key players as he suggested he might.

I was thinking the same, but then again, it'd be good if we can win it by winning our remaining fixtures and finishing 4 clear of them rather than Spurs blowing up and us winning the title almost by default. It makes for a more stressful finish but ultimately a more rewarding one.

Regarding HMRC; I hope Wet Spam end up in League 2 (or whatever the fourth tier is called thesdays). That'd be hilarious seeing the London Stadium thing with hardly anyone in it watching Accrington Stanley.

I'd rather just have it settled as soon as possible to be honest! If Palace or Arsenal can do us a favour in the next 4/5 days then that would be very welcome.
