Chelsea's title credentials

The pressure is really on though. Assuming Spurs win tomorrow and Sunday and we drop points vs Everton - Spurs play before us in the next game so they will be ahead of us before we play vs Boro.

Lots of ifs in that so let's just enjoy being 7 clear.

yeah but spuds next 3 matches are London Derbies & as we all know, they are very unpredictable - anything can happen in London Derbies

Hopefully the win tonight and on Saturday will give us the momentum to push us over the line. Tantalisingly close, Spurs are due to drop points somewhere...surely?

3 points closer to the title - I always believed 85 points would get us over the hump but I have to give some credit to spudz - they have made this a Title Race

Spurs chasing us reminds me of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The Pinkerton detectives keep on their trail no matter what they do. Eventually Butch says in exasperation, 'Who ARE these guys?'

P.S. They eventually escape by jumping into a ravine!!!

3 more wins and its mathematically done

That's not saying much.

I say 2 more wins and ask Leicester to return a favor to us from last year's help.

Currently they are celebrating one year anniversary of Hazard scoring the goal for them to win the EPL in their forum

The stats above makes me think we should play Cesc more. Just a thought....

I certainly recognise Cesc's talent yet also his deficiencies. On another forum I visit they say Costa has a spring in his step as soon as Cesc is on the pitch as Cesc will thread good balls through to him.

IMO he needs to play without defensive responsibilities so other players would need to take this on if Cesc is to play more.

The other option which I think Conte does use is to bring him on in the second half when we struggle to break teams down.

Well it's certainly no coincidence that Costa played well and scored twice against Southampton and Cesc was on the pitch.

As consistent as we've been this season, it's frustrating that we have left the title so close to Spurs. Any kind of performance at United, for example, would have given us at least an extra point, and in my mind, 5 points would feel a lot more comfortable than 4 for some reason.

I didn't expect Arsenal to produce anything and I don't expect West Ham to get anything from Spurs this Friday.

This is probably our last 'big' test of character. Re-claiming a four point lead on Monday night after being only 1 point ahead for a few days will be a big statement, leaving Spurs with tricky games to negotiate against Utd and at Leicester.

It's within Jose's locker to get a result at WHL when nobody expects it, and Leicester may want to return our title gesture. As good as Spurs have been, if we win on Monday I think it's done. I can't see them getting 9/9 points from the next three games.

Last big tests coming up for me. Trying to restore the 4 point lead against a Middlesbrough side who simply cannot afford to lose and realistically have to win, then trying to add pressure on Spurs by increasing said lead at a west brom side with nothing to play for and only pulis looking to add another upset to his cv.

We win these next two are we are either there already or we are left needing to beat watford or sunderland at home. I will feel more comfortable with that as the pressure will build after Spurs win on Friday.

Spurs will draw with United. Mark my words.

Jose Drawinho

Three days before they have a vital second leg with Celta Vigo where you assume that is where their full efforts will be going into. They have a crazy injury crisis as it is already and he well may rotate a few of his players. Coming up against a Spurs team who have been excellent at home all season and form wise are at the top right now, only see one winner. They have more rest, fully fit team and like stated, United will have less days rest and priorities with the Europa.

Was just about to post the opposite....well not opposite, Spurs obviously won't lose all their remaining games!

I've been saying for weeks that Spurs will drop points at some point, and I was looking at this slate of games coming up when I said it. 4 games when the pressure is the most intense...3 on their travels.

Stand by.....

and look what JM did at Anfield on the day Demba saved football. Kalas in defence!! He may shake up the team but will still go with a plan to avoid defeat and try and snatch victory.

Hopefully our players don't go into the next few games thinking the results are a forgone conclusion like some fans are (on Twitter, not seen any arrogance on here), I trust Conte to reign it in. I always got the feeling with Rodgers in 2014 then he let the players get ahead of theirselves. Football, especially the PL, is a funny ol game.

Cant believe I want West Ham to win FFS, what is the world coming to? Brexit, Trump, Korea, cheering West Ham, madness.
