Alexis Sanchez

I agree him staying is now the most likely outcome, but now with Bayern signing James surely that only leaves us and City as the potential clubs?

I know it's always going to be hard to get his signature but I can't see why we aren't going all out for him.

Probably a combination of high wages + fee, no sell-on value, age along with Arsene probably don't want another RVP scenario. Arsenal's board is not better if not worse than ours which leads me to believe is open to a good proposition so it's all down to Arsene.

The relationship between the clubs might be a bit strained since Jose killed the Ba transfer

Rumour has it that Arsenal are interested in Matic. Possible bargain chip for Alexis??

Double standards they won't sell sanchez to an English club, but want to buy players from English clubs typical.

More chance of me building a snowman in my backyard today than Arsenal selling him to us.

The only chance we have is if he plays his contract out and he picks his destination, even then I'd say it was unlikely he'd sign for us.

City is the only possible destination besides us at this point, they maybe getting a bit too comfortable to sign him for around 50m unless we go in for him.

I doubt the Arsenal board would miss out on some extra cash even if they don't want to strengthen a rival team, after Sanchez's comments is either strengthen a rival team now and get some money for it or do it next year and get nothing.

What do you folks think they will choose?

Was previously linked with Bayern Munich, I assume that's off the table following them signing James Rodriguez.

Been linked to City more than us but at the moment I struggle to see where he fits in? Sane, Sterling, Silva, KDB, Aguero and Jesus already at the club. Granted they've allowed Navas, Nolito and Iheanacho leave but it's one thing letting squad players like that leave and another signing someone like Sanchez.

It's been quiet about Sanchez for a while now, I assume he's due to return to pre-season training soon after his involvement in the confederations cup so maybe in the next couple of weeks the speculation about his future will start up again.

Think they'll force him to see out his contract as he's clearly their best player and need him if they are to have any chance of making it back into the top four...plus they'll think that they will have a full season to chip away at him to stay...especially if they are doing well during the campaign...plus they'll offer him some serious wedge in wages if he stays...over £300k a week...Arsenal know that even if they sell him for £50m there's no other player out there that's of his calibre and available...and one that's also happy not to have CL games this season...they'll keep him also because if the RvP experience too...

After his last statement it seems clear this is not about money, Arsenal won't meet his demand for 400k a week to keep him and he won't sign an extension for less regardless of how close it is to that figure.
They cannot offer him CL football and more importantly they have no desire to win, no amount of money can change that.

Yeah but Arsenal hold his cards...and in a world cup year he's hardly likely to refuse to play...saying that Chile aren't yet guaranteed to make it to the finals...

I don't think a fortnight in Russia 2018 will persuade him to stay at a club that are not playing a whole season of Champions League football.

That's not my point...Arsenal will use Sanchez for their ends...they know they will lose out on maybe £50m but without him they have zero chance of getting into the top four or winning the Europa Cup as a means of getting into CL the following season...and if they're not in it then they've got little chance of attracting Sanchez's replacement...

Just throw a bid at them, 80m or something. With Sanchez we could dominate europe.
Imagine him and hazard in the same team.

Just like Arsenal dominates Europe?

on talksport they said he wants to stay in london, but dunno.

He has always stated that he wants to stay in London. Seems that he's used to taking care of his dogs in London

"Chelsea are current Champions, they will definitely be title favorites

Chelsea are looking for a striker to replace Costa

Chelsea offer Champions League Chelsea offer him the option to remain in London

Chelsea also could offer him hefty wages"

What? Are you comparing their squad to ours?

Sanchez would improve us. 22 goals and 10 assists saving their arse on so many occasions.

the thought of Sanchez and Hazard in the same team is frighting if we spend 70+ on a player then id be happy if it was Sanchez

Would they knock back 70m realistically for an unhappy player who id imagine would put in a transfer request if a bid of that amount was knocked back.
