GC is rock solid in defence but when under pressure, he can be sh*te. a 2nd striker who can make costa up his game a notch. As for your last question: because Moses is one of the most low profile players in the team, and its a DREAM window, so you are allowed to name XYZ player even though we are already stacked in RWB position (moses and azpi). Moses is one of our most consistent performers this season. calling him a liability is just LOL, because I honestly dont have any words to say. He has been quite solid at the back as well very good in attack. He needs to do better in the final 3rd, but no way should and would he be dropped from the team next season It wasn't Azpi's man to mark, though. It was Moses's. On both goals. He also almost just cost us another because he was lazy pushing the line up and kept his man onside

Thats some screwed up system. Luiz almost cost us a goal against united by his mistake and letting rashford through on goal, should we sell/replace him?

Moses is at times a defensive liability he is right, hard worker and has learned very quickly how to defend but not being a natural defender shows sometimes, he has done well that's not his position so he as a player should get some slack, but in the context of real implications he is ,at times, a defensive liability.

I love Moses but am confident we can improve. Compare Moses to Pedro/Willian/Hazard and you can see the gulf in his attacking abilities, compare him to Azpi, Ashley Cole, Ivanovic, and you can see the gulf in the defensive ability. He offers a 6-7/10 in both at his best. Vital when we play 65 games, vital off the bench, but next year I hope we can get someone stronger to compete with him. Kenedy + Baba are not offering us that. Alonso on the other hand I think is a deserving starter. Anyway, dream window; Mendy, Cancelo, Lukaku, Morata, Bakayoko. Terry, Matic and Costa going the other way. More a focus on developing Chalobah and RLC. That squad will compete on all fronts.

No because thats one of few and he's the best defender in the league this season. Silly comparison.

Agreed. Biggest liability we have and if we upgrade it will be huge.
March 21, 20179 yr I just hope that we learn our lessons from previous title wins, and add quality even if may put pressure on players that have been a major part of our success this season.

"At times" a defensive liability and "biggest liability" is way too different. Moses has been one of our most consistent player this season! He is no where near our "biggest liability", infact i would say thats a stupid statement. We dont have a partner for Kante in center mid, as well as lack of world class quality on the right wing and a half decent striker on the bench in case costa gets injured or has a dip in form. These issues are much much more pressing than the player who has been integral in the change of fortunes of this club and has barely put a foot wrong. Blaming Spurs' goals on Moses solely is atrocious to say the least. And if that one match is all, people can think of, I would gladly go into the next season with him as our no.1 RWB.

I agree about Moses, but we need back ups and an improvement would be welcomed. Our current squad of wing backs aren't good enough (I don't count Azpi as then you are just covering a crack with a plaster). I also disagree about right wing. Willian and Pedro are quality and RLC also offers a lot of potential. We have 4 players for 2 positions there and I am happy if we have those same 4 for next season. Striker yes and a partner to Kante yes - I agree those are the two highest priorities.

He has been at fault for at least half our goals this season and if not solely his fault he has played a part in them, keeping players inside, not marking his man, not defending the back post etc, he isn't a defender so it is what it is but I would keep alonso over him any day, we need a better option in his position.
March 23, 20179 yr Seems like the focus has shifted from Hazard/Matic/Cesc/GC/Costa/Alonso to Moses now. The new scapegoat of the forum
March 27, 20179 yr Def a bit out of order using Moses as a scapegoat. Been put in a new position and excelled. He does have some weaknesses but by no means needs to be replaced. He could do with some healthy competition for his position though. With regards to what I think/hope we will see in the summer. Back from loan; Christensen, Kenedy Bought; Bakayoko, lukaku, morata, another RWB Sold; Costa, Batshuayi, Matic Loaned; RLC, Zouma So our squad will be as follows GK - Courtois, Begovi? CB - Luiz, Cahill, Dave, Christensen, Ake WB - Alonso, Moses, New player, Kenedy CM - Kanté, Bakayoko, Fàbregas, Chalobah FWD - Hazard, Pedro, Willian CF - Lukaku, Morata Would preferably like another player of Hazards level on the opposite wing, perhaps Sanchez if he becomes available, but other than the small chance of this happening i cannot see another player that will be a significant enough upgrade on Pedro that will warrant the cost. Plus the beauty of this system is we can always switch to a 3-5-2 in the case of resting players / injury.
March 28, 20179 yr To be honest it'd be a dream window if we sign the players we are supposed to sign - VVD, Bakayoko and Sanchez! Edited March 28, 20179 yr by dansubrosa

March 29, 20179 yr IMO it depends on who we sell. I think Costa is as good as gone, if Hazard does go (obviously we should be trying to keep him) then I wouldn't be too disappointed if we managed to get Lukaku, Morata and Sanchez. IMO we wouldnt be far off breaking even with those 3 signings especially if we get a China bid for Costa. This would offer us much better options for playing 2 up front and they could all compliment each other playing off Lukaku spearheading a 3 and allow us more opportunities for Michy and Tammy to get game time. Especially with CL football next season. Regardless of sales we should still go for Sanchez and one of the two. If Conte moves to his preferred 3-5-2 and we have a more traditional 10 then I could see our reported interest in James Rodriguez coming in to play. To rotate with Cesc @ 10. I think the young lad from Monaco, Bakayoko, is all but confirmed and he looks like he'll offer competition for Matic/Kante which will be nice. Terry will obviously move on (or upstairs) and Christensen will replace him, I cant see us spending any real money on the defence or either full backs unless a real prospect comes on the market. Baba Rahman/Kenedy will be given a chance in the squad and Christensen and a fully fit Zouma may make Conte move Dave into RB but it wont be wholesale changes. We obviously need solid competition for Courtois because Begovic will move on but god knows who that'll be. Edited March 29, 20179 yr by Shotgun883 Addition
March 29, 20179 yr For me, this is my dream summer. Back from loan: Christensen Going out: Costa, Batshuayi, Matic Coming in: Sanchez, Bakayoko, Lukaku, Belotti Sidibe, Sandro/Mendy Van Dijk would be a nice signing but I absolutely do NOT want him if it means losing Christensen. I've had enough of our young players with immense talent going elsewhere to flourish. Especially as we'll be looking to re-sign Christensen again in another 3-4 years. Enough is enough. Put him in the squad. Let City have Van Dijk if they want. Edited March 29, 20179 yr by Barrettinator
April 1, 20179 yr I hope that Moses is not blamed for today's defeat. The performance that Pedro put in at RWB should show what a commendable job Moses has done. Anyways, imo, its clear what should be our no.1 priority : Central Midfield. Matic and Cesc individually just dont cut it out. Cesc's performance was worse than Matic ever since he was dropped deep and that itself was saying something. Verrati should be our number 1 priority. I have not seen much of bakayoko but he simply seems an upgrade on matic, not a proper DLP.

Somone like Mikel/Ramires probably.

April 5, 20179 yr What do ya'll think of this: - sanchez - nainggolan - mendy/sandro/shaw - one other, but dunno who How much you guys think those signings would cost us?

Sanchez - Should be our number 1 target, would happily have us splash 50-60 million on him to land him from Arsenal. Nainggolan - Another top target, would add a lot to our team, again, anything up to 50 million Mendy/Sandro/Shaw - To be honest, I think we should look for cover for RWB first, I'd really like to see us try to get Florenzi for 20-30 mill.
April 5, 20179 yr Sanchez no1 priority, dream attacking midfielder who scores more than Haz Aubameyang/Lewandowski/Dybala any of those three, to replace costa, who i think will go Bakayoko to play with Kante/Matic or Cesc Van Dijk of Southampton
April 5, 20179 yr Well having watched Shrewsbury play Millwall yesterday, I can exclusively report that there are no players in either team that we should be after. Hope that helps.
