February 27, 20179 yr Carroll has scored four career goals against us in 13 games and 2 of them came last season where even i would have stood half a chance of netting vs Chelsea. Saying he always scores against us is about as accurate as saying Drogba always scored against United.

Certainly won't be 10 points clear.

SOrry but that's just pessimism for the sake of it.
February 27, 20179 yr If Carrols fit I can see the crosses from Noble to the back post against Dave being a common theme. Antonio is suspended and Matic will most likely play in place of Fab.
February 27, 20179 yr With or without Carrol, with that massive pitch and their terrible home form, we should absolutely HAMMER them.

February 27, 20179 yr I wonder what the atmosphere will be in London Stadium. Big time players thrive in this kind of environment.

WHU always is, but this season it means so much more. Tibo Azpi Zouma DL GC Alonso Pedro Matic Kante Hazard Costa You really don't like Fabregas don't you ? :D He has to start this. I am not simply stating this because he was good on Saturday, I am saying this because their pitch is so big and this will suit him. So many gaps to exploit. And we should be taking the game to them. With the size of that pitch, they will be sh*tting themselves with Fabregas on the field, carving openings for likes of Pedro, Hazard and Costa.
February 27, 20179 yr If I was the gaffer, I would start Matic for this one - tough London Derby & I want my biggest & strongest out there laying down the law vs the bubble blowers
February 27, 20179 yr I'd play the same team, they are in decent form but there's no reason to fear them. We will over 60% of the ball, how we use the ball will determine the outcome of the game.

West Ham away Stoke Away Crystal Palace Home Man City Home Bournemouth Away Man Utd Away 14 points here will do the trick, that's dropping 4 points but no chance with the fixtures of our opponents will any of them go on an unbeaten 6 game run, a draw with city is a far bigger plus for us than them, have to focus on running the games that we should be winning and not slip on those, if we do that and draw with the two Manchester clubs should be job done.

February 28, 20179 yr I'm usually pretty nervous about these games, BUT I can only see us winning this one at a canter as others have suggested. The big pitch will suit us perfectly. I can see Hazard running riot here, simply too much space for him to exploit and run in to. And if its not him, it will be Pedro. If Fabregas starts we will breeze this game, if Matic starts we will also win this game. Bottom line we will win this game. We wont keep a clean sheet though, I agree with others that if Carroll plays he will score. He's just a peter crouch who ate all his veg. Somethings you just cant stop, lanky giants winning headers is one of them.
February 28, 20179 yr We took Tottenham out the title race last year for Leicester, they just took Liverpool out of it for us, Tottenham have not got the minerals to claw back 10 points, they would have enough of a hard time defending 10 points, bottle jobs, so I think it's only city to worry about and they have us and UTD, draws in those games for us are fine for them its 4 less points they can make up, they also have liverpool right after their CL game with Monaco and then Arsenal after that, you have to say a few more wins on the board and it's going to be very hard for us to be caught.
March 1, 20179 yr We are fading a touch but not as much as last time we won. I look for costa and hazard to keep delivering.
