0-0. Mourinho to try and take this to penalties.

I don't know if he'd want extra time.  They have another game this week against Rostov (I think).  I'm sure he'll sit back, but I think the likes of Young and Valencia may play the most attacking two and hit on the break.

I agree that it isnt disrespectful but your entire mindset is crazy.

No we aren't desperate to win the FA Cup. But if Man City come 2nd, win the FA Cup and get to the Semis of the Champs League, Man United come 4th and win the Europa League + League Cup. Then can we really proclaim we are the best team in England so confidently? With United looking so weak tonight we need to capitalise. Changing things up and then losing ? That would be a travesty.

I would rather we rotate a bit for the league game this weekend - have Ake play instead of Cahill for example. Then Zouma have a game the week after. Willian start maybe at some stage. But not tonight, not against United.

Maybe my mindset is crazy or maybe, I just dont care about "bragging rights". I think the team that I wrote in the first page is good enough to beat the united team specially if we replace Matic with Kante.

I dont care what the other teams acheive in the competitions we were not a part of. I am looking at the future where we will have DL, GC, Azpi as starting CBs and then Zouma, Ake, Andreas as back ups next season. Whats going to happen if one of those 3 get injured for a CL QF next season? Buy another 40 mil CB? If we cant play Zouma and Ake against a depleted united squad not having Zlatan and rumored to not have rooney/rashford/martial, I am sorry but we are in trouble and no FA cup win is going to solve it.

I don't feel good about this match and I don't know why. Man Utd are missing 4 strikers and it looks like Jose is concentrating on Rostok and a top 4 place. Maybe he is playing mind games with these injuries and one or two strikers will in fact start. It's hard to say at this point. Will Man Utd roll over? No, they will fight tooth and nail. Conte could be on a hiding to nothing if Man Utd win and that's how Mourinho wants it. My gut is telling me we could be disappointed. I hope I'm wrong.

They keep putting up these videos with those god awful iMovie effects, it makes me want to vomit

I'm not a huge fan of those effects, but I'd still rather watch that any day of the week than the sort of stuff that some people post on YouTube. Like the compilation of last ten matches between Chelsea and ManU that was posted here in some thread (this one, maybe?). Editing a goal compilation isn't exactly rocket science, but some people aren't even trying. It makes me want to punch the monitor when I watch a compilation that has been cut in a way that the editor just cuts according to the video and doesn't care what the audio sounds like. I mean, it's so annoying when the commentary cuts in and out sometimes in the middle of a word or a sentence just because it's where the editor wanted to cut the video. They do know it's possible to edit video in a way that you don't have to cut both the video and audio from the same spot every time you make a cut, right? They know that you can take a piece of the commentary and edit the pictures over that audio track by taking the replays and celebration (and what not) shots out of sync from the original match footage, right? Right? If you're too lazy to edit the audio, please just make a simple in/out edit and show the entire sequence as it was in the broadcast instead of chopping it up. Thank you. :happy001:

Are you going to suggest we play a rotated side like this when City come to Chelsea, or when we play United at Old Trafford? Because we need to throw in the backups so they are tested for next season.

Ake and Zouma are good enough to play, but not when they haven't been playing at all. They need more game time in this team before you chuck them into one of the few must win games left this season just to "test them out".

Irrelevant anyway, the full strength side will be played.

Nerves are setting in now..

Can't help but have a bad feeling today. Good conditions for Mourinho being the underdog and all..

Need a huge performance but come on Chelsea!

Need an early goal to put nerves to rest other than that Jose is on a win win.  If he wins Chelseas just aren't as good as they think they are and Conte is not the manager he was.  If they lose...well it was expected as he will blame it on the FA etc, etc with the fixture pile up.  He will no doubt stifle this game from the outset, that's why we must score first or we will have a bus and a few trucks to deal with....

but we know that Jose will have manure playing pre-historic footie or whatever he called West Ham/Big Sam that one time - agreed an early goal would settle nerves but I can't see this happening - I can see a shootout in the end
