Costa's ball control is one of the worse I've seen for a world class striker.

This was always going to be a war of attrition coming here...we need to beat them on the floor.

I agree. I think Taylor was convinced the call was incorrect on the apparent goal and was looking for anything to give a call to Stoke. Total make up call in his mind. Rubbish!

Awful penalty decision. But we have had chances we should've taken.

Disappointing end to the half. We dominated the first 30 minutes, but then we let Stoke get to us. Cahill was stupid to push Walters, don't give the ref something to think about. Costa has been fighting more than playing football and needs to calm down or he's getting sent off. He's been fouled a few times, but most of the time he's going down too easily and moaning too much.

I'm not going to blame the ref for what is going on out there right now, we only have ourselves to blame for letting Stoke back into the game.

We need to start playing football, getting dragged into Stokes physical approach. Get Costa off for Fabregas and play Pedro as a false 9. With Pedros movement and Fabregas passing we will cause that Stoke defence alot more problems.

Costa's pace, dribbling and decision making of late reminds of Torres in his last season with us.

We were more and more undisciplined as the half went on, particularly Costa. He needs a rocket. 

Also getting Cesc into the game might not hurt, if only to control the tempo. 

Do Stoke fans really enjoy seeing their team play in such a scum way? That wasn't a half of football. Shame on the ref for letting that sh*tshow go on. Is a player going to have to go off on a stretcher before he clamps down on it?

Scrappy first half, stupid penalty to give away....Cahill would never my first choice in this team.  Looking forward to next season when the young ones return from loan.  I hope Conte takes a long look at them.  Zouma and Ake need to get some game time also.

Expect more of the same the 2nd half.  Hopefully Conte will be looking to play the ball quickly and around Stoke rather than out muscle them...Diego treading a very thin line...
