I'm not disappointed that we have missed out on ox. I am more disappointed that another player has seemingly chosen a rival, this time one with supposedly less appeal than ourselves. 

We have left it so late now, what are our fall back options? Maybe we will try and push through a deal for candreva. 

It's looking like a disappointing end to a slow and underwhelming summer. 

Marina and emanalo have on the whole done an okay job over the years, but maybe it wouldn't be a bad thing to bring in a fresh approach, because in the last 3 summers, we have failed alot more than we have succeeded when it comes to bringing in players.

yeah because we keep changing managers.....i`m sorry....how many managers have they had in the last 10 years?

How is it embarrasing? He wants to play CM and if he came here he's be 2nd choice RWB. If Liverpool are telling him he can play CM for them, he'll choose that.

Because we continually are being knocked back and have been for a few years now. We are scampering about yet again in a frantic bid to panic sign players.

He has more chance of playing CM here as we have far less options in that area than Liverpool.....

we gave it big licks when we gazumped Spuds to Willian and the same has happened here but in a reversed situation. 

Folk can pretend if they wish but it's always embarrassing missing out on a player who chooses a club like Liverpool over us.

The embarrassment is we got involved in bidding for a player who did't see us as a career option for himself. Small details like 'would he like to play for Chelsea?' appear to have been ignored.

Because he doesn't want to have a career as a wing back. If we'd told him he'd be playing CM, he would have signed for us, not Liverpool.

Reports come out that Liverpool and Arsenal agreed on a deal. Guess this one's in the bin too

Am waiting for the interview about how the magnificent history drew him there.

Currently we have 3 central midfielders. Liverpool have 4 which will be 5 next season when Keita joins. He hasn't a hope getting a CM role at Liverpool long term

He'll remain at his average leveL. Don't see him taking over Mane and Salah for a wing spot, either.

Or Azpi, Moses, Luiz, even Meireles. Basically we have made late signing's every summer for the last 6 season's and on 5 occasion's said signing's have made key contribution's towards us winning trophies and were at worst decent on the whole. Yes the Papy signing was bizzare but i don't get why it's supposedly certain we will make another Papy esque signing and not a signing similar to the other windows. If Courtois saves 5 of his next 6 pens but made a howler for the one he let in, would you hold that howler against him?
