Depends on how much we want to spend, I don't think we're willing to offer stupid money, so Llorente is probably the more realistic option. I like Modeste personally, but never see us linked to him.

What about Cavani? don't you think he could fit the system Conte has implemented? He's a bit long in the tooth but would be a better option than llorente and could get him for around 47-58m which would be decent in this market.

Possibly, he's younger than Llorente, who would likely be a one season only player. It all depends on the price, I'm not even sure we're willing to spend over 40 mill on a striker, the latest rumour is Javier Hernandez, who would be significantly cheaper.

I would love Hernandez. An absolutely brilliant sub. And probably guarantees 12-15 goals a season. First striker is still an issue. but dont see us spending big on a striker and there is not anyone available in market that we can get for cheap.

But they didn`t score enough against small team, and they lose big points there. To win the PL you need to beat the small team and you need a Striker to score goals against them. Costa earn us so many points against "lesser" team.

So we need Striker, who could offer 20PL goals.

Lukaku was the perfect choice, but the idi*** board missed him.

 

Get Mandzukic, would be great for 2-3 seasons.

Am sure he'd move in order to play more centrally and would have no problem coping with the physical side of the league. He's probably as seamless a replacement for Costa as there is.

In my opinion, I say we just go for Morata.
Player wants to leave and I feel he'd fit Conte's system well.

ur mad.selling willian? He is world class and one of the best right wingers in the world. Have you ever seen him losing the ball?? And his crosses are so so good; pity we dont have a striker who makes full use of them. On technical quality, you cant even compare Keita to Willian.

From what I can gather, the board would be more willing to spend big on Morata but Belotti is Conte's preferred choice.

Just to be clear though, this is all just from what I've heard on social media, so take it with a pinch of salt but it wouldn't surprise me if this was the case. 

I suppose a lot of it will have to do with the price...the Turino president sounds as difficult to deal with as Napoli's...if he refuses to budge off his stated £87m release clause fee figure then I can't see the board sanctioning that type of spending...RM on the other hand are already talking deals for Morata and James Rodriguez...and United had them down to around £70m before they broke off negotiations...I'd be happy with either of them plus a big lump of a. No. 9 too like Llorente or Benteke or Boney as a plan B for some games...
