For a pre-season friendly I thought we looked very good,.....Arsenal overall looked pathetic albeit missing one or two players....another miserable season for Arsenal Fan TV 

Overall a good game. Our senior squad looked good, and I thought boga seemed decent.

but we still need at least 2-3 signings. And finally Kenedy was pretty terrible can't rely on him to cover for Alonso.

From what I saw:

Boga: wouldn't hurt to have him in teh squad I think he should get some minutes

Kenedy: Hasn't improved an inch since we got him, had high hopes for him

Baker: Looks up is aware, didn't see enough to judge

Andreas: It's very hard to assess a defender without seeing at least a half

Impressive first public workout. We looked fit and ready for the season ahead. Some good performances, major plus Boga.

I think he will fiddle with a 4-2-4 when the rest of the players arrive

Thought Tomori looked good hopefully we see more of him in preseason. Looked better than the Ox anyway.

Welcome back lads, nice 3-0 win. Good to have football back. Lots of positives. Batshuayi, Boga, Willian shinning along with others. Thought we looked in shape and fit from the opening kick. This is refreshing after the pre-season for 2015-16 when everyone looked 15 pounds over weight. Guys were dragging a bit half way through the second half, which could be expected. 

Conte knows a 12-13 man rotation (like last season) will not get us very far through the PL and CL. We have to take the Real Madrid approach the best we can with 2 teams when the CL is going. I think you will see a good bit of Batshauyi this year and others. We have to have depth, especially in midfield and WB. Alonso and Moses need relief.

Great start. Cannot wait to see Morata in there soon. I assume he gets kit number 9.

Of the back-up brigade:

Big Positives:

Boga: Looked quick, direct and very confident on the ball—well on course for making the squad. 

Tomori: Probably too early to say but looks good enough to cover for Moses / be the 6th CB in the squad. Showed good touches and confidence going forwards and covering at the back. 


Interesting to see: 

Baker: Was very eager to get involved but didn't have enough time to show what he's capable of. Hopefully will kick on and make the squad.

Scott: Like a little homegrown Fabregas, couple of very optimistic passes and decent movement in the middle. I can't really see him making the squad but Conte obviously likes him.

Clarke-Salter: Made a couple of decent blocks, tackles. Probably in line for a championship loan. 


Disappointing: 

Kenedy: I don't think he's ever going to be a defender, I think we've probably done more harm than good trying to convert him from being a winger/forward. LWB is the one position we definitely need cover for.

I thought he Looked very good, composed and solid at a position he doesn't normally play.

Very impressed with how fit and sharp the lads are looking considering we've just started pre season.

Batshuayi showing his worth looks class whenever given the opportunity should keep Morata on his toes pushing for a starting spot.

Courtois - 6/10 - Basically had nothing to do, cos Arsenal are sh*t.

Moses - 7/10 - Got up and down well, got in some good tackles, looked more like the Moses of the beginning of last season
Azpilicueta - 6.5/10 - Solid. Thought he should have come off earlier though, when he seemed to injure himself
Luiz - 6/10 - Don't really remember him having much to do
Cahill - 6/10 - Same as Luiz
Alonso - 6.5/10 - Bit slow chasing back on occasions, got some good passes and crosses in going forward

Kante - 7/10 - Kante
Fabregas - 6.5/10 - Controlled the middle well

Pedro - 6.5/10 - Good pace and energy, but should have been sent off for his outrageous flying headbutt into Ospina's fists
Batshayui - 9/10 - Very good link up play, good first touches, strong, 2 great goals. Only downside was he was weak in the air and didn't challenge much for high balls.
Willian - 7/10 - Took his goal well and gnerally solid

 

SUBS (Who did enough to be judged):

Cabellero - 5/10 - Don't know if it was a tactic or something he picked up at City, but seemed intent on short passes out from the back, and was sloppy with them, which seemed to spread throughout the defence and led to more sloppiness
Tomori - 7/10 - Looked surpisingly solid. Some good tackles, good tracking back, good running forward. Would like to see more of him in the next game.
Kenedy - 3/10 - Time to be sold I think, he's just not good enough. Struggled in everything he tried.
Boga - 6.5/10 - Not as blown away by his performance as some. He showed good pace and quick feet, but overdid it sometimes, trying to do too much and lost the ball. Doesn't look quite ready, maybe a loan at a better club than Granada this year could help his development.
Baker - 6/10 - Looked eager to get involved, vision was good, if a bit lacking in execution. Hopefully will get longer in the next game to see what he can do.
Remy - I'm not sure why he's still here.

I agree with everything u said except that boga plays with his head down unlike baker who uses his eyes. Boga reminds me of SWP and i dont mean that in a good way. There were many breaks were his pace helped him and all he had to do was look up and pass but instead he kept his head down and kept running

I'd be happy to see no new faces this season unless it's going to be a top top player such as Alexis. If it's not going to improve the starting 11 considerably I think we have an 11 to be competitive in all competitions and at this point baker, boga, Christiansen are either good enough to be pushing the first team. Christiansen probably good enough to start actually. Both Luiz and Cahill are in there last couple of years at the top of their games. We don't want to keep seeing , lukaku situations (though I feel it was the right call to sell him, I think in total we made almost 50 mill on him)

WHAAAT. We need another cm we only have 3 cesc bakayoko kante  and we need another LWB Only Alonso. Kennedy doesnt count

Great stuff. I wasn't able to watch the match today, so glad we showed them who's boss and sent a statement to the rest of the league that we're ready to defend out championship.

 

I also remember after our last 2 title winning seasons in 2010 and 2015 that we sucked during preseason, so glad we managed to hit the ground running this time.
